This is one of few places I would give six stars to if I could. Perhaps the friendliest restaurant I’ve been to. Both servers were great. They had opinions about the food, suggestions, they listened to my kids order patiently, and were generally very attentive. They even went above and beyond and made suggestions about our plans since we were just playing it by ear. Absolutely outstanding.

We had breakfast here a few Saturdays ago and had a nice time! I was surprised that there was no line to get in; we were seated immediately. Our server was very nice, and the menu had a good variety of options. I ended up having the sunrise sandwich, which was probably one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve had in a while. The other food ordered by the rest of the party – French toast and some sides – was also good! Overall, and pleasant and tasty experience!

As a guy that is allergic to wheat, Gluten Free dining is a must. So, when I find places that have a decent GF menu, I want to shout about them from a mountain top. South Side Walnut Cafe (and the original Walnut Cafe) is indeed worthy of a shout out! Lucky for me, I can climb up the Flatirons right after breakfast to do so… Delicious gluten free options are abundant. My favorite still (after going there for over 10 years) is the GF Buttermilk Pancake. Huge and deliciousness on a plate. Pair it up with a spicy Sherpa Chai, and look out world, here you come. Dominate that hike or bike.

My friend and I had a great experience here! The service was great and everyone was so patient with us which was awesome because I had a lot of trouble deciding what I wanted to eat. The food was all pretty good but nothing stellar so that’s why only 4 stars. I was pretty disappointed with the biscuit because it wasn’t standard or as buttery as I expected. It by no means was bad, it just wasn’t what I expected or would be used to. We both got the BHAKTI CHAI which was absolutely delicious and I’d definitely recommend. Might even go there just for it! I would definitely recommend South Side Walnut to others looking for a chill good brunch spot. Also decent pricing.

I really want to like this place– the vibe is solid and the staff is always amazing. Unfortunately the menu is always feels lacking for someone who prefers to eat healthy non-dairy, and the food execution consistently lukewarm (literally and metaphorically). Fine for a cheap diner in a small town (this place would be a standout), but for the price-point (expensive) and location its very low on my list. Try Tangerine for more healthy options or Parkway Cafe for better quality meal.

Delicious, HOMEMADE split pea soup was a perfect pairing with my half sandwich, though the pesto scramble almost won out. I have never had anything less than a delicious meal here! And the staff is helpful and friendly.

Very good. South Boulder is my favorite part of the city and the restaurant fits in well. No wait even though it was busy. Good quality, good service. The blueberry cornbread was a stand out!

While the food was good, the huevos rancheros seemed to lack some flavor. They did, however, come out almost instantly after ordering we’re talking like a minute or so which is amazing! The coffee, a latte, was very good. We set outside with views of the surrounding foothills.
