I love the food at this place. The fig paneer sandwich is so delicious and not your ordinary sandwich. You can customize the protein in each sandwich and decide whether you want it spicy. The Burmese chips are worth a try, too.

We were very excited to hear that Soulwich opened up again. Everything tastes so fresh . I love their fig & paneer sandwich. The bread is delicious. The owners are lovely people. They make you feel so welcome. Drove all the way from Michigan early just to make it in time before they closed . Worth it .

Their Tuna Rice Itsu is fantastic! Very friendly staff and the service is perfect. The place accepts credit cards but prefers cash, so give ’em cash Don’t forget to get their Burmese homemade chips! They are delicious and addicting. There’s paid parking out front but very limited. This is perfect if you’re looking for fast, tasty, and healthy spot in Downtown Evanston.

Debatably the best sandwich in Evanston. Go for the Indonesian bbq with pork and you will not be disappointed. The sandwich is carefully prepared and includes pear juice, a unique and unexpected but delicious addition. The chips and Cole slaw are crafted in house and a handsome selection of craft ginger beer is available.

I think that the #4, the Indonesian Ginger BBQ (with the pork option), is spectacular. The bread has and amazing crispy crust and the pork is always smoky and perfect. Paired with the spicy potato chips, it’s a sublime experience.

Really wonderful spot. Not a ton of items on the menu, so they do each thing very well. Paneer fig sandwich is my favorite. Owner seems like a really nice guy. It’s clear the food is made with love.

I love this place! Not your father’s Subway Sandwich shop. This place has more than a touch of SE Asia in their sandwiches. It’s a delicious alternative to the ordinary sandwich shop with some exotic and spicy alternatives, like a banh mi but different. Highly highly recommended.
