I don’t usually leave reviews—and rarely are they poor, but my experience here calls for words to be said. I came in during a moderately slow time on Friday, there seemed to be a good amount of staff behind the counter. With two people ahead of me and two behind, I watch them receive great service. When it was my time to order the person at the register barely spoke to me or looked me in the eyes. I’m not entitled to their attention, but it was odd considering I had a different impression on how other customers were treated. I ordered the mustard chicken plate with Mac and greens. My food came out 25 min later cold and the chicken was dry as bone. The mac was overly salted and didn’t even taste like Mac. The collard greens were extremely sour. The cornbread crumbled to sand. I’ve ordered here before with my partner and had similar taste issues with the food. Will not come again.

This was my first time visiting the salt city Market, and it was a good experience. I got the fried chicken plate with Mac and cheese and yams as the side. It was all tasty, especially the yams! The chicken was crispy, which was great, but the meat itself was a little dry, which would be my only complaint. The service was great and friendly. I plan on coming back and trying something different, and I would recommend visiting!

The food is absolutely delicious! They provide great customer service and their prices are good as well. I recommend the Mac and cheese with toppings and the yams with toppings. You won’t be disappointed. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Baby daddy surprised me today came home with some Mustard Bbq Chicken, greens, Mac & Cheese was on point, definitely recommend the cornbread he shared some of his home fries those were ok. Anyone in Syracuse should least go here to try it out. Different people have different experiences. You can’t judge a place based off on the lowest reviews

Great locally owned soul food inspired place. The male staff is usually friendly and the food is excellent. A bit pricey but, I understand that the location is considered relatively prime for the outskirts of downtown Syracuse. The sides are phenomenal and definitely worth a visit if you happen to be next door at the Marriott or just relaxing near downtown. Definitely recommend.

This place did not disappoint!! I had the oven roasted chicken wings, fire Mac & cheese, not your Utica collard greens, confetti cornbread, & candied yams!! When I tell you this food was so tasty and original. I palate was awaken with the nice combination of their own special twist on regular soul food!! I enjoyed every single tantalizing bite of my food!! I also tried their St Louis ribs with sage and apple chutney! As I said before….. No disappointment here!! I found this tasty spot inside The Salt City market in Syracuse, New York. So if you are ever in Syracuse go try out SOULUTIONS!!!! TWO THUMBS UP!!

Soulutions ia a very authentic soul food experience. I would say of the few places which serves soul food can compare. I have been here countless of times with my fiancé and we truly enjoy the food and employees. They are very friendly and provide a unique experience every visit. There are also specials on Friday for fried catfish which are amazing!
