We absolutely love Soulman’s! We often come to this location. The manager is professional and does his best to get customers through the line quickly. The chopped brisket sandwich (Out of Sight Special) and pulled pork sandwich are good, although the meat is shredded, not chopped. The macaroni and cheese and green beans are great. The whole restaurant and bathrooms are kept very clean. Staff are friendly, though a bit slow at times getting orders together. My family enjoy our meals each time we come. Very good, true Texas BBQ

The absolute best bbq I have ever eaten in my life. Pleasant atmosphere and the service is top notch.

Ordered the double barrel baked potato. Minimal topping selection (no onions, no jalapeños, odd melted “butter”, 1 meat only). Not bad, just okay. Smoke Monkey is the better place for the baker but be ready to pay about 5 bucks more. Cabbage was excellent with lots of flavor.

The BBQ sandwich was awesome. Poboy style full of delicious moist chopped brisket and the sauce is on the side ….fried taters, cream corn has a little bite to it. The staff was very friendly except 1 lady (looked to be the mgr, kinda grumpy)….oh yeah, free soft serve ice cream cones ..Great experience overall

I order double brisket, sausage and side corn, and cabbage. The corn was over pepper. The brisket had no seasoning. No smoke ring. Where is the smoke ring? No favor. The only thing good was the fried cabbage. I have had better brisket in North Caroline and Ohio. Not happy at all!

Restaurant was casual and nice inside. The food was flavorless and unseasoned. Meat tasted and appeared to be cooked incorrectly or incompletely, while the green beans and pinto beans tasted as if emptied from can and put in the microwave. I had been in the past and it was much better. No way worth the price.

First time here. The meat was good but as it is ground up for the sandwich I had, there were so many pieces of gristle and fat to actually enjoy the sandwich. BBQ sauce was yummy. Mashed potatoes tasted as if they were from a box but the white gravy was good. Cole slaw was good too. Price was a bit high at almost $14 for a sandwich, two sides amd a drink. I will give it another try, one more, and try other sides. One great surprise was how delicious the FREE ice cream is that you can have after your meal!!

The staff was freindly and helpful. The set up is a buffet and you pick up what you want and pay at the end. The cashier was kind enough to ring us up as one of their specails to get us a better deal. We had a rack of ribs, Mac and cheese and Texas toast (of coarse because we are in Texas) with sauce on the side. They had coke products which was great because we like Coke Zero. The ribs were soft and juicy and the BBQ sauce was awesome. The Mac and cheese smooth and creamy. The Texas toast was very little butter and was light but still tasty. They take the plates and trays from your table so don’t look around for the garbage can. Best of all, free soft serve ice cream when you buy rib for dessert. Great visit, too bad we are not in Texas longer!

I’ve been here a couple of times now. I had the brisket sandwich and also the sausage sandwich plate. Both were very good. I grew up on barbecue and love trying it everywhere I go. I always get the beans and potato salad to be consistant. The potato salad was good but the ranch beans could have been spicier. (Yes, I put BBQ sauce on the potato salad.) The staff were efficient and friendly enough. Overall a great lunch experience.

Quick and easy to order. Nice big tables that were clean. Ordered the Soul Bowl special with pork, sausage, beans and Fritos. Wow! Excellent. Enough to feed 2! We are passing through but will put this place on our return list.
