This restaurant is located inside the Soulard Farmer’s Market. I had read this before going and planned to check it out.

The only gumbo I ever tasted without crab, shrimps…it was ok and a bit high for a cup of chicken sausage and juice

I ordered the chicken and rice thru doordash. The name in the restaurant says cajun. There was nothing cajun about it. It was so bland I had to add my own cajun seasoning and touch it up. The pineapple upside down cake wasn’t really fresh but edible. I ended up throwing my dish away. I’ll try again because I believe in supporting local businesses. However, I would do a quality and ingredient check to make sure everyone on every shift consistently puts out the same quality product. Because when that doesn’t happen, you end up with reviews like this.

I have no complaints. They make yummy food. I’ve never ordered a dish I didn’t enjoy. Highly recommend if you’re ordering in or in St. Louis.

Etouffee and clam chowder were amazing. Food (delivery) came packaged nicely with friendly little notes on the containers, and a free sticker

Gumbo was average it was chicken and sausage I was hoping for some seafood. Chicken ettoufee sounded good but was just chicken white rice and cheese sauce with seasonings also was hoping for seafood ettoufee. Probably will not go back.

Great food stop at the farmers market. It smells so good you can’t not stop for a bite. And the taste lives up to the smell. Everything I’ve had has been top notch, quick and served by very friendly people. I now go out of my way just to eat there, even when I’m not shopping at the market.
