Hidden gem, went later in the evening about 830pm. They serve food til 10pm. It’s definitely an older clientele, the music was very nice. The horns and jazz definitely brought the old school feels. Kind of felt like you step back in time. Going to have to try on a Friday or Saturday the piano bar is supposedly very nice

I used to visit hear as a kid with my parents/grandparents. On our most recent visit, the food was good and the help very friendly. Restaurant still has the feel of stepping back in time which I like. A nice change from the commercial food factories on every corner these days. I buy a Mason Jar of their house salad dressing to go whenever I visit. The veal cutlet Parmesan is delicious. The piano entertainment & singer on some nights another plus.

Had a Groupon to this place given to me at Christmas. Needless to say, it took a little while for me to make it out to this place. Sorrento’s is about 25 minutes from where I live and I have two young children… so finding time to make it here was challenging. On to the reason for the rating:

We are a large party, reserved the party room. The wife’s alfredo was bland. My steak was cool. Daughter had a under cooked steak. Sent back, was probably on the grill for 30 seconds. She is pregnant, can’t eat that raw. First visit, totally unimpressed, will not be back.

Scott the bartender was very friendly and attentive. He kept the drinks full and made great recommendations. The ribs were really good. Definitely would go back.

Absolutely everything was awful at this place. The food was horrible. We actually had a waitress that was new and she was the best thing about the whole place. I wouldn’t recommend this to no one. They tried to give us a piece of bread from a loaf purchased from a store for a dollar. The pasta sauce is bad everything was bad. Don’t waste your money

We expected a kitschy classic restaurant, and well, we weren’t disappointed in that regard. There is a wall of clowns. However, the food here is just awful. I mean that in the sincerest way possible, because I understand the long-standing reputation of the restaurant in Reading. I’m sure that through its tenure it has been both good and bad, but as it stands now it is sad, depressing, and ultimately a waste of money. We used a Groupon through much obfuscation and hidden rules. But here’s the thing, Groupon or not, the prices are significantly inflated for what you get. My wife got the “Vegetable Fettuccini” which came with frozen carrots and broccoli in a thin, flavorless Alfredo sauce. It was $13, which is twice what I’d expect to pay for that dish in that atmosphere. The piano is a unique touch, but fails to overcome the negatives.

I’ve been going to Sorrento’s for years. I’d like to see some fresh ideas on the menu. But the food is decent if not exceptional, service is friendly and the piano bar crowd is a lot of fun and very entertaining.

Aweful costumer service!! We had a Groupon, after eating the owner told us we had to purchase 2 drinks. Which was no where on the Groupon. Then he continues to tell us we have to at least spend $20 to use the Groupon. Which again this info was no where on the Groupon! After talking to the owner more trying to explain this was false advertisement he stated “I have the right not to honor your Groupon” and insulted our income. Our income is excellent but that’s not the point the point is the Groupon said one thing and the owner was saying another! And the pizza was gross.
