Four stars for the experience. The sushi quality is B-grade at best but worth the price of AYCE. Did it for the ‘gram and have no regrets. Service was also subpar. Since so many seats are side-by-side (to be able to take in the scenic view of downtown LA), I wouldn’t recommend going with a large group.

My wife and I came here right when they opened for lunch. Although it is known as a revolving sushi place, most people actually seem to order a la carte. We only ended up picking up a few things off the I conveyor belt as there was not a very wide variety of dishes on the belt, even an hour after opening. The view is amazing and the prices are correspondingly high but fortunately you’re getting more than just the view for your money. The quality of the sushi is excellent. We spent about $80 per person for lunch, and we did not order alcohol. The best value on the menu is the mini chirashi bowl which was also such a visual treat it’s hard to believe it’s cheaper than most of the sushi options.

A 69-floor Sora Sushi restaurant at theInterContinental Los Angeles Downtown offers a great Omakase with very fresh fishes, elegant presentations and unique and different plating, plus a specular view of the heart of the Downtown Los Angeles Financial District.

I had a wonderful time. The carousel was just something I had wanted to do for a long time but they also had a full menu top pick and choose. Truly a unique experience starting with finding the place within the Intercontinental.

First off, it’s a little strange to walk through another restaurant to get there, but once there, the view is five stars. Sushi is three. The whole experience however, is a lot of fun and a relaxing way to enjoy dinner with a loved one. The bill adds up quickly as the plates stack up from the belt… We wanted a particular kind that we didn’t see come by for a long time and they made it special for us. All in all an enjoyable evening, but you’re paying for the ambience–you can get much tastier sushi elsewhere!!

Today was our last night here in L.A. And since me and my girlfriend are both sushi lovers, we thought what better way to end our vacation with sushi at our own hotel.

The view is magical, the sushi river flows along the counter, which in turn is located along with the windows, so you can look at downtown from a bird’s-eye view while enjoying food. But there is a problem, the food itself is not impressive. I visited this place on Valentine’s Day and took advantage of a special menu, maybe that was the reason why sushi was very mediocre.

The selection of sushi is subpar if you were to do the belt dining (where the sushi plates come in a conveyor belt). The selection can seem pretty bare bones compared to other all-you-can-eat options. However you get great views of the city and an excellent view of the sunset.
