Nice remodeled location near Macon GA! Friendly and helpful staff! Delicious Sonnys barbecue! Love the Sweet Carolina meal deal(pulled pork sandwich with a side and drink)! Large portions! My pulled pork did have a quarter size bone in it so eat carefully.

I went there today super excited but the ribs, they were bad. The turkey sandwich tasted pretty good. Bake beans were gross and corn poppers over fried dried out. We spent 32 dollars on two meals. At that price your food needs to be amazing.

I visited the Sonny’s on Zebulon Rd in Macon. Ga this evening. I always enjoy the food but the customer service could have used some adjusting tonight. I ordered a side of fries with my order and upon checking my food, I noticed my fries was not fresh. I pulled back around and the lady at the pick up window completely ignored me and did not acknowledge that I had pulled back around to the window. As I noticed this behavior, I called the restaurant and spoke with the manager and explained that I was just sitting without being accommodated. He quickly came to the drive thru window to assist me with my order. Although, he offered to prepare fresh fries, I insisted on just getting an alternative side. I just wanted to commend the GM, Duane Hartenhoff on his great hospitality. He was very professional about making sure my experience was his top priority. Greatly appreciated.

Took the family here for lunch while out shopping, my 2 year old daughter absolutely loves this place. Our waiter Chris was amazing. He was the perfect mixture between being too helpful and not enough. We can’t thank Chris enough for insuring we had refills, to-go boxes and anything else we needed to enjoy our meal. The food was spot on also. We will definitely be asking for Chris next time we go and visit. He was an absolute joy to have catering to us. Thank you again to Chris and the other Sonny’s staff.

The meal was very overpriced. I ordered the 2 meat plate. One of my choices was brisket. They have nerve to add an UPCHARGE for choosing brisket. Well, there was a tablespoon of the brisket. Most of that tiny portion was fat. I was disappointed. The coleslaw was on the verge of sour. Which may have something to do with how hot it was that day. The takeout Clerk was amazing. I gave her a tip.

The epitome of good customer service was experienceed today when I met Destiny. She showed patience after I voided my first order and she serviced with a big smile. Since my order was so big, she walked me out, made sure everything was secure in the car and add sent me off with a Blessing.
