I have always felt that our local Sonny’s was run down. After going there recently I can say they are not doing well. My experience recently was terrible. I notice being seated that our table was dirty. When the waitress arrive to take our drink order we ask for the table to be wipe because it was dirty and sticky, Her response was where is it sticky. Then after she left to put in our drink orders I realize the table next to us has trash all under it. Waitress came back to take half the order because at the time i wasn’t ready. When she return to finish taking my order, As i was about to order she inform us that there is no pulled pork. Which means Half the menu gone and we got the reorder. I this point we let her know we’ll be leaving and she gave us a check for what we had already had which was a Coke and Water which was never drinked.

Friendly service but very slow. While sitting at the bar waiting for my carry out order I noticed two employees touching their hair while preparing beverages. Someone offering me my drink while I waited almost 30 minutes for a sandwich and fries would have been nice.

Not to busy for lunch, we had chopped chicken sandwiches with mac and cheese, bbq beans an fries. We also added coleslaw to our sandwiches it was great.

I love Sonnys, I always order the Whole Hog Sandwich or the Redneck Eggrolls ( pictured). They are pulled pork and veggies in a eggroll wrap, and they come with the best sauce! You gotta tryem!!

I like the setup. I enjoyed the waitresses Paula and Asliegh. They were polite, funny and good at doing their job. As for the food. It wasn’t very good. My sister and mother’s ribs were burnt. My mac and cheese taste like the frozen kind. Also no butter. Maybe I’ll try again next year when I visit

Last night, we went because I’ve always loved this place. Especially the corn bread. We walked in and it seemed okay until we hit the hostess desk. She never spoke to us, just wrote down a number and walked away. We were finally seated and waited for the waitress for about 10 minutes. When she came, we ordered our drinks and food. We got our drinks and everything was great but as it got later, it was getting annoying. We waited another 35 minutes. It wasn’t busy, there were things crashing in the kitchen and our waitress never talked to us until she passed by us and said she hasn’t forgotten. We stayed a little while longer and then decided it was time to leave. We had been there for an hour. I will not be back which is sad because I loved it.

We’ve been here several times and usually get good service and the food is great, which is why we keep returning. Our recent visit wasnt up to par-service was good but the tea wasnt really sweet and the slaw was very dry, not enough ‘dressing’ to hold it together and give it a good taste. The meat was very tender though so overall it wasn’t bad. Minor things like the tea and slaw happen sometimes nut not a reason to keep us from returning.

We waited over 40 minutes to get our food. We ordered the fried pickles as an appetizer; they were so greasy, the grease ran down my daughter’s fingers! The baby back ribs were overcooked and warm.The garlic bread was hard. The sweet tea was not and they ran out of ice! Our waitress apologized throughout our visit and stayed that she had apologized “like a billion times today” because they had gotten so busy and backed up. Please note we did not have to wait to be seated but we had a long wait on our good which ended up being not what we are accustomed to receiving from Sonny’s. Not a great outing for our Father’s Day meal.
