On August 30, 2023 at approximately 4:18 PM I arrived at Sonic in Van Alstyne. I placed an order for a Route 44 Dr. Pepper, corn dog and a soft pretzel. It was moderately busy at this location and I noticed there was only one car hop and she was working very hard. I waited patiently approximately 15 to 20 minutes for my order and when the lone car hop came to my window I told her she was working hard and needed a raise in pay. She took offense because she informed me that she was the general manager. Anyways I got my order and drove off. Got about 3 minutes and realized I didn’t get my corn dog. Almost didn’t want to go back for it but I did. I went to the front door and a nice gentleman got me my corn dog. Then general manager came up to my window and asked me what I was doing back there and I told her why. She was looking at me like I did something wrong. Then the owner gets out of his truck and tells a customer next to me that he is going to be the last customer of the day. Long story short I got to see the owners operate and I’m not impressed. You made feel like I was doing something wrong by returning to get what I paid for. And I didn’t like the way the owner was talking to customer next to me. I’ve been to a lot of sonic’s in my lifetime and I never seen owners acting so strange at a sonic. It’s there business and they can do what they want but SMH.

Only reason I give 1 star is because I can not do 0. At 1207p I placed an online order for a Medium order of cheese sticks (6 pieces) & a vanilla Dr Pepper. I chose for the pickup time of 1220p. I pulled up there exactly at 1220p. I waited & waited & waited. I FINALLY got my food at 105p. After asking about it 3 times. How does cheese sticks take an hour? Not only that, I get them & having to eat on my way back to work as I’m now late, THEY ARE COLD like they had been sitting there for awhile. Oh & guess what made it even better.. I called the 888 number to complain, & all they gave me was a Free Route 44 drink WITH A PURCHASE. Seriously? After having to wait that long for cold cheese sticks you think I’m gonna get food there again?!

I can only rate the service and not the food. I placed an online order and checked in through the intercom. I waited 20 minutes and had to check in again. After an additional 10 minutes I had to check in a third time. Finally 5 minutes later my food came out ice cold. I refused to take and had to leave to get back to work after wasting my entire lunch break.

Ordered a cheeseburger that didn’t come with lettuce and asked them to put lettuce on it and they literally put like 2 pieces on there!!!!! This is ridiculous!!! I won’t be back. Not to mention my tater tots were cold.

Ordered a few drinks on the app. When I got them 2 of the drinks were wrong so I sent them back then I left and took a drink of my cherry limeade and it tasted like they dumped an entire bottle of lime juice in my cup. My throat was burning because it was so sour. I worked at Sonic for a long time and I don’t know how it’s possible for you to mess up that much.

Worked here for several months. When I started the conditions of the kitchen were disgusting. There is also a problem with rats in this restaurant. The equipment was not well taken care of. Cross contamination is standard practice here. Management sucked at my time of employment. I was overworked and underpaid as a cook doing Manager responsibilities. Was forced to work during a covid outbreak and during hazardous road conditions. I left to protect my health and my children.
