Service was friendly and outgoing. Pain killer mixed drink. I didn’t love the topping was straight nutmeg and cinnamon but the drink it’s self was great. The calamari appetizer was great. The dumpling were small but tasty. I had beef and broccoli but added shrimp and bok choy. They had no prob adding extra items for me.

Asian food being my favorite, I was extremely disappointed in Son Asian. We ordered from the lunch specials and the entrees ( I had sweet sour chicken, my husband ordered pepper steak) were good. Accompanying an entree was one side and and egg roll. I ordered low mein for an upcharge of $2.00. I have never eaten anything as tasteless as this. I never add soy sauce to anything yet found myself doing so just to give it any kind of flavor. Plain noodles would have been more palatable. My husband ordered fried rice. Safron rice would have been a better description as it was yellow, with no vegetables found in a normal fried rice. He also said it was flavorless. I didn’t try the egg roll after he stated how nasty it was. I tried a bite later just to agree. It was uneatable. Finishing off our Valentines Day lunch with ice tea, I would highly suggest that more care be given to cleaning the tea container. If not cleaned properly, tea will taste moldy. Yeah it did. We mentioned our disappointment to the waitress. She offered management, but we were not after having our meals compted. Glad we tried the specials instead of paying the big bucks for standard meals. On the up side if you’re interested, they have a large sushi menu. Maybe to others’ liking, but not mine.

Jasper doesn’t have many good options. The Son is always one of our first choices. It’s pretty clean, I’ve never had a rude server, and the food is good. It’s not something that you will dream about, but it is a good, safe choice for a tasty meal!

Lets start off by saying the first time i went in here was perfect the staff was super bice place was clean and the food was wonderful. Today though i went and order the same thing I got before and it was awful ended up throwing it in the trash. I ordered a spicy crunch roll and it was thrown together in the to go container and the rice was moosh very very over cooked. Needless to say wont be going back for a long while. So disappointed….

For starters, since when is fried rice orange? I have been there before and it was great. However, this experience was atrocious. The calamari came out with our food which was about an hour after we ordered. It was not crispy and tasted as if it had been reheated in the microwave. My sister ordered a drink from the bar and by the time it made it to our table, it was melting. My brother in law who does not believe in wasting food could not even eat his. It was cold and the chicken was chewy. His co workers food wasn’t any better. They did not put the sauce on his food or even bring it to the table. None of the rice was cooked all the way. Also, the waiter needs to learn to multi-task. I had to go to the back myself and get the green onions and Ranch for my sister after waiting almost 20 min.

Still under renovation when we visited. Staff was unfamiliar with menu items when we asked about ingredients used. Also, they didn’t have a bartender on duty to make a cocktail at 4pm in the afternoon. The sweet & sour pork was good. And their rice was very delicious. They didn’t have any Pho available. It was a disappointing experience.

Always liked the food but the customer service was ridiculous this time. I got up and left after waiting 10 minutes for someone to come take a drink order. There were only three tables at the time and several workers just walking around. Definitely needs a manager that pays attention to the employees.
