We were really excited to try this restaurant. I loved the decor and atmosphere. The food fell a bit short for me though. As odd as it sounds, the French toast was very, very sweet; I couldn’t even use syrup with it. The overall taste of the French toast was good, the berries were a lovely addition as was the marscapone cheese. We also got a sandwich which was pretty good. I would likely go back, but I’d try something else.

First, this place is so incredibly beautiful! The gold and blue decor looks so vintage yet modern at the same time. The food was also really amazing. I ordered French toast and it did not disappoint! And finally, the service was top tier. I can’t remember our waiter name but he made to sure to take care of us and we were even gifted a dessert since we were celebrating my cousin’s upcoming wedding. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Wonderful breakfast place with a few different vegetarian options. I loved the Avocado Toast. The breakfast potatoes are the absolute best and should not be missed. The service is quick and this restaurant is in a quiet area. Would hope to come back again soon.

Attached to the Viceroy Chicago hotel, this restaurant has a large patio and beautiful décor that seamlessly flows between the restaurant and hotel. Designed with stunning gold finishes, the atmosphere shares elegance and pizazz all in one.

Somerset was a satisfying dining experience – the food was well done, service attentive and the ambiance of the historic building and courtyard made for a nice evening out. Apparently, the pastry chef is renowned in Chicago and we enjoyed a creative and decadent end to the meal. One table next to us came by only for the dessert and they seemed to be local foodies based on their convo which I was definitely not intentionally listening to.

I went to Somerset with a few friends for breakfast. The restaurant was able to seat a party of 6 fairly quickly. The atmosphere was nice and clean. However, the service and food were mediocre. The portions were small for the price. The fries were over salted. The brisket sandwich was tiny. The pastries were pretty tasty. I highly recommend it.

Amazing food with excellent service! The server was attentive and helpful when ordering. She did have a slight attitude, but it was not expressed toward me. I just picked up on it, so it threw off the ambience a bit. I had the brioche French toast with the lobster eggs Benedict. It was some of the best brunch I have had in a while! I will be back

After a long day of flying, my group of 6 walked down to Somerset for a late dinner. We had reservations and we’re seated quickly near the back of the restaurant which had a great view of their impressive bar. The atmosphere was great, and our server was super friendly and good natured, even as we ordered a round of Malort.

Food was great overall. Breakfast we ordered was delicious! Calamari delicious! Expresso martini’s so good. One of the best I’ve had..and I’ve had a lot. New York strip not the best, but that’s my personal opinion. My friend had the burger and said it was very good. Overall great dinner!
