Took my family for brunch Sunday and from the time we walked in to the time we left it was an awesome experience! We were greeted pleasantly and our waiter Vel was on point. He was polite, knowledgeable and all around a great server. He helped us choose our meals and EVERYTHING we got was delicious. The manager Erin visited our table to make sure we were enjoying our visit. I highly recommend so Lou and will definitely be returning.

Our waiter Justice was super kind and attentive. The food was great and came out in a timely manner. The manager also stopped by the table a couple of times to ask about our experience. We came by during brunch time. I am from South LA but currrently live in Los Angeles, so this place really did it for me!

Great service, atmosphere, and food! One of the best restaurants in Baton Rouge to eat at for a special occasion. The special lobster fete menu was delicious and a good price to split between two people. The staff were very accommodating for our large party. Overall, I highly recommend SoLou to anyone wanting a nice upscale dinner in Baton Rouge.

Personally, I think the place was amazing and very beautiful. The restaurant was very welcoming and warm when you first entered. I think the tuna dish I had as an appetizer was delicious among the crab dip. Tha alligator hot dog is a must since the sweet and sour sauce and avocado sauce make it taste so good, in my opinion. The chicken and waffle weren’t so great for me. The pineapple cobbler was so good with ice cream, but if you don’t like ice cream, it still tastes good. Overall, my first visit was enjoyable, and I loved how nice the staff was to me.

So my sister friend and I made a very last-minute call to go to brunch and SoLou was it. Boi was I glad. The shrimp & grits are in my top 3 of all shrimp & grits. Then there’s the boudin Queso with pork boudin, roasted corn, tomatoes, fresh jalapeño, cilantro, cilantro-lime crema, served with tortilla chips- sooo good. Only suggestion is if you’re adding additional season, don’t. It’s just a tad bit salty. The corn dog shrimps-oh that’s my new favorite. All with the perfect Arnold Palmer. I don’t drink alcohol but all.the drinks were super cute.
