Colorful and fun Mexican restaurants & bar in Bellingham. Large bar area with comfortable stools. Margaritas come in different sizes. The large is huge and enough to share. Had dinner and drinks on a Saturday evening. Got on the waiting list which was a 10 minute wait for a table, but two bar stools opened up which is what we preferred. Shared the Vallarta fajitas for two but was enough for three or four. Fajitas was a combination of shrimp, chicken, beef and Chorizo covered in melted cheese. The cheese was a bit unique compared to other Mexican restaurants. It was delicious along with refried beers and rice, and an order of guacamole prepared table side by Maria.

It certainly has a good vibe for Mexican restaurant. But there’s another local Mexican restaurant that is very good called Acapulcos. Comparing it towards that I definitely felt that this vegetarian dinner that I personally had was tasteless and not so good. For instance the marinara that they put over it had too much oregano and basil. It tasted like a low cost marinara sauce that did not fit with Mexican flavors at all- took Italian flavored. Especially In comparison to the other same vegetarian meal I have at the other place. My friends said their meals were good. One enjoyed her steak fajitas and chicken fajitas were good. The three of us enjoyed our meals but did not feel in comparison that we would venture here again. Service was good, atmosphere was festive and price was normal.

Great place in the area for Mexican food. They have the usual Mexican food menu that you would see at most restaurants with a few more interesting items. I do think their food tastes more fresh than some others and I have not had a bad meal here. We get the fajitas for one to share pretty often because they are HUGE! Plus, they have huge and delicious margaritas! It can be pretty busy so sometimes there is a wait but the service is usually still pretty good. We have only had a not so great waitress experience once out of the many times we have been here over the years.

The food was barely warm. I waited for the waiter to come back so I could order sour cream. He was a no show until it was too late. The food was just ok. A chili relleno should be stuffed with cheese not ground beef. Not what it used to be. Won’t be going back.

Authentic Mexican cuisine at its finest! Excellent menu truly something for everyone! Serivce is fantastic all the staff is kind and helpful they make each meal special. Drinks are perfectly mixed and the atmosphere really make this restaurant a family favorite! Great location with convenient parking.

Sol De México is the Place! We love coming on Tuesdays for the $1.50 taco deal. The tacos are super good for the price. They make huge margaritas. The ultimate margarita is my favorite but I highly recommend any of them. Perfect spot to hang out or party with friends! Sol De México for the win!

Best experience ever at a Mexican restaurant. Really nice and great staff and excellent food! The staff invites kids to help make sides such as guacamole. Pina colada is amazing so is the corn. The appetizer salsa is to die for. Not too spicy and not too sour. Just perfect! I would come back every time!
