Sofra Cafe is an excellent local restaurant located just a few blocks off of the main square. The ambiance when you first walk in feels like home. The staff come out of the kitchen to greet you and sit you at a table. Everything is made fresh so it takes a while to get the food but it is all worth it. We had the gyro plate and the meatballs, both were excellent. I loved that the meatballs came cooked with peppers and onions in the tomato sauce with it. The homemade bread made the dish even better. The gyro plate was also excellent, cooked and seasoned perfectly. The portions are good, you will not leave hungry. After dinner we had the Turkish Tea. This is the best and most authentic Turkish tea I have had outside of Turkey. Overall an excellent restaurant that I recommend everyone try!

I think this might be my new favorite restaurant. Really blew me away. The gyro wrap was excellent! The flavors were amazing. I don’t even normally like cucumber and tomato but they changed my mind with this, delicious!

All around FANTASTIC! The lady that works there was so nice and so much fun too, she offered to read our fortune from the Turkish coffee and gave us homemade date balls! The food was wonderful, would absolutely recommend for anyone in the mood for amazing Mediterranean!

A real sample of Turkish taste. We stopped by this restaurant during our long road trip. It was fabulous. The owner was in charge personally and very much welcoming. I tried dry beans, was perfect! Others tried Turkish gyro and İskender. We Tate’s each others’ and was perfect. The Kunefe at the end was real great closing. Strongly recommended.

Their options are mainly Turkish home-style food. It’s a rare thing in the US. The quality of the food is so high. Pides, lanmajun and pastries are a must. Prices are affordable and specifically for the home-style pastries are cheaper than expected. After the recent renovation, the place has become more spacious for gatherings and long-time stays.

This was my first trip to Sofra. Super friendly and answered any questions I had about the menu. I forget the name of the dish I had. (Gyro meat w/tomato sauce, rice and yogurt) a traditional Turkish dish I was told. Very tender and delicious. But I actually went to try the kunefe. And WOW!! Maybe the best desert i have ever had. Will for sure be back. Two people could easily share a meal and Kunefe.

You can feel the love and attention that went into preparing this food. I felt like my Turkish nene was serving me at her house in Turkey (eventhough I’m not Turkish). I got the delightful brunch buffet. My boyfriend, unfamiliar with the cuisine, opted for a gyro and fries which he praised. We’ll surely be regulars now that they’re reopened after a long pandemic shutdown.
