Sodere is one of my favorite restaurants and it is up there with the best Ethiopian places in Minnesota. The service is fast and friendly, the restaurant has good vibes and live music, and most importantly, the food is delicious. People who complain about the prices (which aren’t crazy high to begin with) are whack because the portions are humongous. And, they hook you up with a lot of injera bread. That stuff is the greatest mmm mmm. The best way to eat this delicious cuisine is to pick up the food with the injera, but you can also use silverware if that simple concept is too much to handle. I ordered a veggie dish and a beef dish to go. Little did I know what a taste explosion they both would turn out to be. And, it’s good for you! What more could you ask for?? Keep on keeping on Sodere, I love you. Pro tip: order two entrees for yourself like I do and drink milk with them because things can get real spicy meooowwww .

Worst service. The waiter was very polite and nice. How ever We waited an hr for yebeg tibs and kitfo, was told it’s taking bit longer for tibs so waited half again then it came this time no kitfo even it came with one injera only. And small four piece injera roll. After all the wait the food was garbage. Half is onion. We canceled the kitfo afterwards Will not be going back here.

Very comfy and vibrant restaurant to try out variety of authentic and delicious Ethiopian recipes. Well recommended

Very nicely put together location. Unlike many other Ethiopian restaurants, this location is decorated without the message being overstated. I ordered the kitfo & awaze tibs. Both were perfectly made. The only negative I have to say is about the amount of time I had to wait. Under certain circumstances, I would have canceled and requested a refund, but I had time to spare. Overall, no regrets, great meal!

Really delicious meal! The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff was friendly – we got some great recommendations about what to try. We split the veggie combo, and every single part was delicious. The injera was fresh and tangy, and we particularly loved the lentils and cabbage. I had a veggie sambusa that was crispy and fresh and flavorful. We also got some Ethiopian coffee in a clay pot, which was served on a tray with incense. It was strong and very tasty. Highly recommend!

We ordered the veggie sambusa & veggie combo for take out. The server was so nice & friendly, & they were able to get our food ready to go in about 10 minutes. On top of all that, the food is wonderful! So mouth watering good. We can’t wait to dine in & check out the live music!

Nice Ethiopian cuisine on the south side of the cities. Light and airy atmosphere without feeling inauthentic. Veggie sampler was good and injeera fresh! Doro wat is a must try.

Me and my family visited Sodere many times and were amazed at not only the quality of food, but also the service. The whole experience from start to finish is Amazing!! ; waitress is always so friendly and kind ( Marefia, she is amazing!!) The food can’t get better and the prices are fair for the portion size. Always a great spot to get great food.

Sodere is a fantastic Ethiopian food restaurant! I ordered the fish and rice plates and the Kitfo platter. Kitfo was absolutely delicious and cooked a perfect medium rare! The fried fish was crispy and it paired well with the cooked vegetables and rice. The entire family thoroughly enjoyed the food.
