It is the only peruvian restaurant that just opened in Gainesville GA, we are peruvuan food lovers and we were expection this restaurant to open, however this review will change as we went on opening day and to be fair no one knew exactle what they were doing, the menu needs many other dishes to be added and the food quantities are a little too small (high end restaurant style which peruvian food is known for much larger portions)

From atmosphere to service to food – SOCO has it mastered! Everything was absolutely fantastic. Save room for dessert – the picarones alone are worth a visit! Ana was a wonderful server! Highly highly recommend trying SOCO!

Where do I start? I ordered the grill jumbo shrimp and it came out with shell, head, legs, and eyes staring at me!! I couldn’t eat it. My husband order the beef anticucho, it was more like a appetizer. Margarita?? Lemon juice, no ice, too small!!! In the other hand, it’s a beautiful place, great atmosphere, friendly service, but it’s too expensive for what you get. We had go somewhere else to eat after spending $80 at Soco.

Im Mexican , and fell in love with Peruvian food after I met my Peruvian husband. I’ve been to other Peruvian restaurant (sabor inka) to be exact. Honestly I was so disappointed. The beef anticuchos is one of my favorites. Way over priced for four bite size pieces and it wasn’t even beef heart . I know not many people are fond of the beef heart but I learned that anticuchos are made out of beef heart. My husband ordered the tiradito. The flavor was there but it didn’t convince us.The pisco sour was good. They didn’t have any Peruvian beers… We won’t be going back . Way over priced for the amount of food you get. After dinner we ended up going to our usual taco joint , I had honestly wish we would have just went there to begin with. We could have saved the 70+ dollars from this restaurant. It’s okay. You have to try new places out. We were hoping it would be a big hit , the restaurant was only 7 minutes from our house…

Got back from Peru a a few months ago. Going here felt like I went back. For appetizers try the king of ceviche, and I got lomito saltado which is a Peruvian dish with Asian and African influences. My family liked the beef anticucho, tequenos, and classic chaufa. We did not get drinks but a classic Peruvian drink was the Pisco sour. I will be back!

Came on the recommendation of a Peruvian friend. Delicious! Tried out three dishes (ate the oysters before I could take a photo. Got half with leche de Tigre). Other two dishes were arroz norteño (mussels with cilantro sauce/ rice) and picaron (sort of pumpkin doughnut with fig based sauce). Will definitely be coming back for Happy Hour.

Extremely flavorful upscale dining. Probably one of the best upscale dining experiences in Gainesville and definitely one of the most exotic and flavorful. Try the Super Leche De Tigre if you like ceviche. The classic seafood Chaufa stole the show. Yuka Frite fries were great and oysters were the best and freshest I have had in town (full oyster bar). It is pricey but worth it, try different things slowly or go with someone who knows Peruvian food. Be blessed.

Where do I start, full on best experience I have had at a restaurant here in Gainesville. Me and my friend got the aguachile to start off and was so fresh also the tequeños. Really a scratch kitchen and fish is never frozen. Martin was our server and he did an amazing job on explaining the menu. So sweet and helpful. Love this Latin seafood cuisine. Definitely give it a try !
