Their food is overpriced but within the norms of a ski resort the chicken tenders and pulled pork sandwich are too dry

Cozy place, perfect for comfort food after a few rounds of skiing. Service is nice, people are super kind, and food is very good. Offers amazing views of Lake Tahoe, especially in the outside seating area. It’s a lovely place.

Not sure how much better the location of a “mid mountain” ski chalet can get. Incredible views of the lake, surprisingly good beer list / draft selections. Didn’t try the food but looked like your common pub snacks.

The best view of Lake Tahoe from a ski resort. Don’t miss it! It’s at a cost though, 13 dollars for a hot dog and 9 for chili. Consider bringing some of your own food and a drink from here and take in the epic view.

Good hike, views are not as good as they used to be because the trees have grown up

One of the best hikes in Tahoe. Easy to get to this spot, about 30 to 40 minutes uphill. Just park in back of the Diamond Peak Ski Resort and walk from there.

Fantastic view of Lake Tahoe and great barbeque. I can’t think of a better view or menu mid mountain than here. We have tried the tri-tip, the pulled pork and the ribs. The sauces are fantastic and the meats are awesome and perfectly seasoned and smoked. The best side is the mac and cheese. The prices are reasonable for a ski resort and it’s a great place to stop for a quick break.
