Love love love the environment here!! All the decor makes you feel like you stepped into Texas. The food was tasty but much pricer than my husband remembered it being (he used to work there). There are bathrooms located in the back.

Have been there multiple times and every time has been great. Just went there yesterday 8/24/23 and we had the special which was 2 crab cakes and a side and also pulled pork dinner and the food was delicious. Our waitress was Lilly and she did an excellent job in serving us. She also said that she was new and this was her third day working alone and she was friendly and described the food. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This was the first restaurant we had when we moved to the area a few years ago. We most-often get to go orders, and popped in the other day right when they opened to place a to go order and waited at the bar. (We were worride plaving a large order right st opening, but they did an amazing job!)

Great food. Portions are large. The chips are heavy duty, the perfect shovel for guacamole and salsa. The brisket is tender and moist. Tacos are flavorful and delicious according to my wife. The Charro beans are the best ever Loaded with flavor and meat…. More later.

Smokin Willy did the catering for my wedding and they did a phenomenal job! We had a large group of 200 people and they had everyone served in less than 30 minutes. The food was warm and fresh and the entire group loved it! Also not to mention they did all of the set up and break down for the tables and the table decorations! I appreciate you all so much for making my big day stress free and exactly how I wanted it. I definitely recommend using them for any of your catering needs!

Got the Pulled Pork Platter & Sandwich, both with the Loaded Mashed Potato sides.. those were all mediocre. Not terrible, but it’s just sad when that’s what there is to report about BBQ. The Root Beer, isn’t. I don’t know what it is, but it does not taste remotely like Root Beer, so don’t order it expecting it to taste like the name implies. The water is downright gross.. I don’t know if they have a bottled water option, but take that if there is.

Headed to the Wolf Trap for a concert tonight from Winchester and stopped at Smokin Willy. Callie (Brown hair/eyes) was our server. She was outstanding, prompt and kind. The food came in a timely manner, perfect temp, tasted delicious! We will definitely be back and hope to see Callie again!

Stopped by for dinner and decided to try the Blackened Mahi Tacos. They were fantastic! The fish had a light crust and was moist and flaky inside. Just the right amount of seasoning. Cabbage was fresh and crunchy. Had the Charro beans for the side. Service was great.

We haven’t been here in years. But we will be back often. I had the fried chicken BLT salad and my wife had the pulled pork platter. My salad was fantastic. The dressing was the best I’ve had in years… And I’m told it is made in house. The pulled pork was great and ample portions. The sides were good, not great. Cornbread could be bigger, more slaw, and the mac and cheese was flavorsome, but needed to be thicker. My only complaint is they don’t give you free tastes of the beer to help you decide. Prices were on the high end of reasonable. Service was great and restaurant was very clean.

So. You think ya know good local BBQ, Ace? Well, do ya? Because here East of the Mighty Mississippi, things to nosh real Texas-style just ain’t so, uhhh… prevalent. (Ask for a dictionary next Christmas instead of bitcoin!)
