We were traveling, and I was hankering some smoked meats. We decided to try this eatery after seeing it at the end of our street. The cuisine was excellent. Meat was tender, portions were generous, and flavors were perfect. (The very best cornbread.) Our “hot foods”-loving kid and I interacted with the employees. They enjoyed having him try some of their sauces. Watching him experience the heat and flavor was entertaining. They were all tasty, he claimed. Excellent cuisine. Excellent staff. We were all satisfied when we departed and wished we could eat there again!

For the passed 2 and half weeks with calling to order food or stopping by, this establishment has been closed with no update on their website or on Google stating their early hours of closing or just not open. They have written close signs on their window and door on a piece of paper. This used to be a great restaurant with good service, I hope they are able to repair/restore the restaurant so that it can be open for business again, as this is the only urban barbecue restaurant within the area and without going towards the city of Chicago.

I love beef brisket but it has to be quality beef!!! Nothing like a good beef brisket as long as there’s enough meat on it I don’t even mind a little fat but this place piles the fat on and give the excuse that brisket has a lot of fat!! True if it’s not a quality brisket that is being prepared The taste is awesome!! But this is definitely a place for pork lovers!! The beef brisket sandwich will have 75% fat and barbecue sauce and they will even put fries on your sandwich!! BIG NO NO!!! IF YOU WANT MEET AND YOU ARE A PORK LOVER YOU WILL BE IN PORK HEAVEN!! BEEF BRISKET LOVERS ARE GOING TO AGREE THAT THIS IS A 75% FAT SANDWICH VERY LOW LEAN MEAT CONTENT!! IF SOMEONE CAN TALK THIS GUY INTO GETTING A BETTER QUALITY BEEF THEY WILL BE MAKING A GREAT SANDWICH BECAUSE THE TASTE IS GREAT!!!!!

We pay $46 for the meals catfish is not catfish. Swahili very mushy. Rib tip hot link meal ribs , taste like they cook them and then put them in the oven. Baked beans were good hot links were good they give you a whole bunch of fries to camouflage. All the messed up stuff going on, smokin ms is a hard No and it was recommended , The person must have been drinking for that to be good. I did not want to give a star, but I have no other choice.

Small BBQ shop in forest park. We ordered the link and rib tiip combo. We went for the spicy sausage links you can get them mild. The spicy ones are super hot so beware. The rib tips were good but a little boney but not to bad. The BBQ sauce is OK. They can make it hot or mild were chose the mix, which is a mix of both. We also had the fried Mac and Cheese which was really good and came in a big square were you can actually share with someone if you wanted too. We also had the desert peach cobbler and the pecan pie. The cobbler was spongy but nothing to call home about. The pecan pie look burnt and was not the best. Service was OK. Overall I give this place a 6. It’s a decent rib spot nothing to brag about tho. It’s little pricey but not too bad. We had 2 large rib tip and link dinners, Fried Mac and Cheese and 2 deserts for about $55 or so. So thats not too bad. If your looking to pickup some quick decent bbq stop by and check them out.

The worst experience ever I will NEVER go here again nor will I recommend anyone…I paid almost $15 for trash…I ordered a small rip tip and I received shreads…my tray was soooo empty I would rather drive 30 mins out of my way before I ever go here again…don’t go here save your money take it else where…they were rude

Food was promised 25 minutes, was not prepared in the time given, I had to wait 35 additional minutes. Asked for tartar sauce on the fish. Catfish and fries were drown in sauce.
