This place is cool. It has indoor & outdoor dining and a bar. It is clean and cozy. When you get through the door, you order right at the counter before you head to either the bar or a table (outside or indoors). My husband and I came here for dinner and we ordered ribs and moon candy. Moon candy is a dish of (seems like) pork belly that is so tender that it melts in your mouth. I loved the food and it’s taste, but my husband not so much. His only complaint was about the Moon Candy as it is so smothered with sauce that is sweet. It wasn’t too sweet though. I guess this time it is about preference. The ribs wasn’t covered in sauce but if you want BBQ sauce, you can ask for it. My husband and I sat at the bar, and it was comfortable to eat at, and the bartender was pleasant, attentive and makes good drinks. This is a casual dining experience. I am rating it 4 stars because It was not a perfect dining experience for my husband and I. However, I would definitely come back and try the other food in the menu (and still order Moon Candy coz I really loved it!) and I definitely recommend this place.

I am so happy my wife and I stopped into their newest location. Unfortunately, from Treton Rd it is hard to see this place. However well worth driving up and going in. Of all the bbq I have tried in the RGV, Smokin’ Moon BBQ is my favorite with a heaping mix of great smoked meats and sides, best atmosphere, adult beverages and the kicker…live music. We are already planning who all to invite with us when we go back to enjoy the food, drinks and music. Lovin’ Smokin’ Moon BBQ #2.

Great place to come to, on one of their many locations now. They have a pretty big menu to order from depending on what you want from ribs to chicken wings to brisket. Our server was Viviana and is very helpful and delivers great service above all.

Jastiny provided excellent service. We had no idea what to get and she provided us with great recommendations. We loved the sampler! It was the perfect starter. Our daughter loved the Mac and cheese. And the 1/2 chicken bird hit the spot.

First time at this new location and it’s amazing! Came at 11:30am and they didn’t have smoked turkey yet but the pulled pork was perfect. You never see table service at bbq places but Raul was the best server! Coming back tomorrow!
