This place is very quiet. My husband and I shared the 1/2 rack of ribs with macaroni & cheese and potato salad. The ribs were a little spicy but moist, tender, and delicious. The price is not outrageous.

Decent BBQ but not great. Closer to 3.5 than 4. Apparently, they were super busy and ran out of chicken and brisket but I’m thinking it’s because the restaurant is situated right in the middle of the town. I have to think that there are better bbq places around here. Ribs were cooked well but the dry rub flavor was kinda uneven. Their sides were good but not sure if they were actually made there or out of cans.

We went here for the first time last night and the food was great! The guy singing had a great voice and the atmosphere was good. It was a little miscommunicated when it came to what beers they had in stock but no biggie. The waitress had great service but when it came to paying though it was sketchy. My total came out to $47 and some change and she left and came back and said she would have to charge a card processing fee. We were cool with that. Then she said she accidentally hit cash so we just paid her with cash. Not realizing until after we paid she charged us for the card fee when we paid cash. As she dropped off our change she took a dollar and stuck it in her pocket as if I wouldn’t notice (maybe thinking we weren’t going to tip her) and I gave her a $10. Clearly she really needed money but I’d watch them with your money very closely if you visit this place.

The food was good, not incredible. It’s located in a newer building with several other interesting places to visit. The inside is clean and open, with a nice elevated outdoor eating area with views of downtown Blue Ridge, including the train station. The nice atmosphere and decent food do not quite justify the high prices. A lunch for 4 could very easily surpass $100 without any alcohol, which seems high for a casual BBQ lunch.

I don’t know if we caught this place on a bad day or what, but I wasn’t impressed. We were the only ones in the place for lunch at 12:30 on a Sat. Staff was polite and the sausage was good, but otherwise everything was just meh at best, which made it seem over-priced for what it was. The onion rings and fried okra were clearly out of a freezer bag and the pulled pork was absolutely dry as a bone. There was zero discernable smokey BBQ smell in the restaurant, which tells me they probably buy from a commissary and reheat.

I have had BBQ in over 30 states and hundreds of places. This is in the top 5 worst ever. Honestly could not tell the meat from the bone on the ribs. I thought the brisket was actually jerky. The staff was friendly and great service. But the food was nearly inedible. I keep seeing the response of “did you happen to let the waitress or manager know” Why? What would that do? Would you cool me a better meal? It is what it is. And what is, is poorly cooked, cold and small portion meals. Comping a meal does not make it better. So why complain?

This was a cool spot. Anytime we visit a spot that has a bar we have to purchase the signature cocktail. Unfortunately, the strawberry shortcake martini was not available. We did challenge the bartender to make a Washington Apple and she completed the task with high marks. She was very friendly and the Iocals hanging out were cordial too. We only ordered the redneck rolls which were made of Mac n cheese and pulled bbq. (Pictures below) It’s served with your choice of hot, regular or mustard base bbq sauce. I decided to taste all 3 and they were pretty good. The egg roll had a egg dipped flake to it. This is a BBQ place I’d like to revisit and get more out of..

Delicious BBQ. BRISKET WAS AWESOME! They definitely know what they’re doing here. On the pricy side but you definitely get quality bbq. They were out of a few staple items unfortunately, pulled pork and couple of other things I can’t remember. Seems like they need to better plan for their stock and availability, as we went on a Sunday for a late lunch. Potato salad and Mac n cheese was awesome too! Definitely recommend going here.
