My husband and I finally made it here to eat today and to say we were impressed is an understatement. It’s in a great location, the atmosphere is amazing. We had the sweetest waitress. She made sure we had plenty to drink and had everything we needed. We ordered 2- 10 ounce sirloins with a side salad, Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes and fries. Everything was cooked perfectly and had so much flavor. We will definitely be returning, hopefully the next time it isn’t cold and rainy so we can see some great views from here. If you haven’t been here yet, definitely go check it out, you won’t be disappointed!!

We went there with a party of seven. They were clearly understaffed for the weekend however, everybody was pleasant and working hard to service all of the customers. Our server Faith was excellent. Great place to go and hang out the views of the gorge are beautiful. The food was quite good, especially The steak tips and fried green tomatoes.

Delicious dinner option with spectacular outdoor views at Adventures on the Gorge. Really good ribs. Solid burger. I wish I would have tried the Catfish Sandwich. The wings were outstanding!

Amazing atmosphere – although I’d rather not come back when there’s an event happening. Not enough staff to support the restaurant & an event as well. Solid B+ food. D- service, the hostesses filled our drinks & covered for our waitress. Waited 20 mins to order dessert after receiving the menu… instead we went to Dunkin Donuts.

Came in July 3 for dinner and were seated immediately for what we thought would be a great meal.

A most delightful evening dinner with a most attentive and knowledgeable server, River, was our time at Smokies. We were suggested to try the Pasta Bolognese which was freshly made, pasta and all. We were amazed by the quality of the entrée and the tastiness of the appetizer, pimento cheese hush puppies. We will definitely be back to dine and soak in the sun setting over the Gorge.

We spend one night at the campground with our RV and Smokey’s was a great restaurant to be able to relax and reintroduce ourselves back into society after a few days road-tripping. River was our waitress in the late shift and her hospitality was amazing, asking about our trip and where we were into next, giving us some tips for continuing in West Virginia. The food was amazing, I had the filet mignon (River’s favorite) and everyone was full that night. Between this restaurant and being so close to the National Park, you couldn’t go wrong.

Wow, our first impressions of this restaurant were terrible. It all started when we walked in and the hostess was rude, Instructing us to wait before speaking with her. We waited for about 15 minutes with no one In front of us before we were finally able to put our names down for a table. Once we were seated, we noticed a large puddle on our table, and the paper menus were placed right in the puddle. The hostess returned and pushed the puddle onto the floor, but she didn’t provide us with new menus. Moreover, despite our party consisting of 8 people, they were unable to seat us all at one table and didn’t make an effort to push the two tables together. To make matters worse, more then half of the menu items were crossed off and unavailable. When the waitress returned to take our drink orders, we politely informed her of our change of mind, and she responded with a rude remark, saying, ‘Well, I guess you won’t be having anything then.” Considering all these issues, I would suggest saving your time and money by going to The Burrito Bar like we ended up doing instead.
