One of the best southern style meat and 3 table service or to go restaurants around. Food is cooked to order for the most part. They have a nice salad bar as well. I love their in season fried green tomatoes and homemade mashed potatoes. My top 3 favorite entrees are the fried catfish dinner, chicken liver dinner and veggie plate dinner. I always get the giant sweet tea with crushed ice. The staff are great and very hospitable. It’s a laid back atmosphere, sort of like stepping back in time a few decades or like mommas at Sunday supper. Take your time and enjoy the friendly staff and delightful regular customers.

We phone our dinner orders in and my husband picks them up. Food is always exceptional. I favor the country fried steak and gravy but we’ve never gotten anything that wasn’t good. The only complaint is they do not have standard hours and close at 7:30 if they don’t close earlier. They also seem to be shorthanded often.

Place could use a makeover sure but it’s clean and the food was tasty. Reminded me of grandma kitchen back in the day. Can’t go wrong. I salt and peppered my food cause I like a bit more salt. Else wise flavors were good and the staff was friendly.

It’s a country diner with several things to pick from and the font on the menus could be better. So the food was what I expected, country cooking. The tea was good. We all had catfish and the batter was different but good. I got an 8 piece dark fried chicken to go and it was tasty. The food came out in a reasonable time. I will eat here again.

We ordered the hamburger steak with gravy and fries. The fries were not edible as they were soaked in oil. The hamburger patties were flavorless. The best thing for all 4 of us was the sweet tea. We will definitely not be back.

The waitress was really nice. The place was really dirty. We ate because traffic was getting bad and we needed a break from it. The burger wasn’t terrible but if I could suggest anything… place needed a cleaning crew…bad.

Got the thick cut steak ribeye cooked perfect but not as thick as you would think. That’s the only reason I did not rate a 5

No complaints about food from our table. Good but unremarkable. Salad bar was fresh. Chicken livers were cooked perfectly. Server was overworked, so patience was appreciated.

Did not enjoy my meal. My dad and I got the roast beef with gravy, green beans, mashed potatoes, fried green tomatoes, and baked beans. My mom got a ribeye.

Nothing like a local mom and pop’s resturant. Everyone was just good ole homfolks and greeted you and gave you immediate attention. Had a 3 egg “farmer’s” omelet which is totally loaded and smothered in cheese. No doubt I’ll be back if in the area!
