First of all, the food was really good. We ordered a bunch of stuff from their ribs, steak, and the sampler steam pot. Make sure you ask if they have any specials going on. The first time we went, they had the buy one get one free on the ribs. The second time, a 16oz glass of beer was included in the rib price. As you can tell, the ribs were so good that we went back a second time. Everything else was really good too but my favorite is the ribs. Now as far as service is concerned, it’s not that good. The place was somewhat empty when we arrived but they made us wait 15 mins for a seat. It also took forever for them to get us the water. I think the restaurant is under staffed. Our server on the other hand was very friendly and accommodating. Either way, we came for the food and we left very happy and full. Definitely coming back next time I’m town.

We are coming for Market America’s convention and happened to visit Smokey Bones. We tried the ribs and sirloin steak and signature bones plates, food and service are surprisingly good! Especially we’d like to thank Caleb McDowell for his good service

Food was well cooked/seasoned. Eating family style with the tabletop grill was fun. The charcoal smoked a lot at first, but once it died down, it did a good job at keeping the massive pile of food on top warm as we ate. We never had to ask our waiter, Caleb M., for refills, and he was friendly.

Great experience at Smokey Bones Greensboro. We were a party of two and they were very busy with some large parties…so we sat at the bar and ordered Bbq ribs, pulled pork, french fries, baked beans and a bacon cheese burger. Everything was tasty and hot the only disappointment was the burger was small. But the burger was tasty and has lots of tomatoes, lettuce, pickles and onions. We eat here sometimes when we are in the area…the ribs are the best around. Atmosphere is ok.plenty of parking FREE. Bartenders took good care of us. And Michael came out to say HI. Really nice people there. We will be back.

I recently visited Smokey Bones in Greensboro and had an amazing experience! Xavier, our server, was incredibly friendly and attentive, and made us feel welcome and well taken care of. He was knowledgeable about the menu and made great recommendations. The flavors of the dishes we ordered were absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. I especially loved the smoked wings and brisket. The staff was friendly and attentive, and it was clear that they take pride in their work. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained. I was impressed by the attention to detail and care that went into every aspect of my meal, from the presentation to the quality of the ingredients. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and enjoyable dining experience, and be sure to ask for Xavier as your server.

Went in at midnight and was told there was a 45 minute wait. I refused to go since the place was half full at best. My sweet server came in minutes. Got my tea and food in less than 15 minutes. I guess the hostess was trying to get me to go away. The food was good and good temperature. It was enjoyable and finally found some good BBQ beans.

It would be mediocre at best up north, but in the south and for the higher chain restaurant prices, it doesn’t hold up against any hole-in-the-wall BBQ joint. The price would be fine if it were good. To be specific… Super-salty brisket, a bit dried out, tasted a little funny like chemical tenderizer or weird seasonings. With all that salt, mouth feels weird and tenderized after. Water was full of ice and ran out fast. Nice waitstaff except water didn’t get refilled until nearly finished with the meal. Mashed potatoes and gravy were good, but ridiculously piping hot, making it impossible to eat them until after the rest. So, there was nothing to cut, palate cleanse, or balance the saltiness through most of the meal. Fries and bread were nothing special but nothing wrong with them. Atmosphere centered on a bar, sports you can see but not really hear, and popular 80s music.

Service has really gone down over the last couple of years. This latest experience was the worst. Food was old, hard and clumped together. Looked way better than it tasted. Service was very slow and we went at an off hour when few were there. Overpaid for this meal by far!

Our First time trying Smokey bones, Our serve Diana was excellent with being short staff. We both had chicken sandwich’s they were extremely over cooked. When I was able to tell her She did make sure to asked me if I would be interested in something else and I declined and it was removed from our bill.
