I am going to agree with the majority of folks on here stating that this place has great food. We are from out of town and wanted to try something local and this place was just what the doctor ordered. The folks working here are some of the nicest people, and did I mention the food is great?! We had the pulled pork plate and the pulled chicken plate. We had hush puppies, collard greens, baked beans, coleslaw, and potato salad. They have a variety of sauces and we tried them all. Next time we are in town, we will be sure to stop by.

One of the best barbecue places in the area! Weekly specials are always a creative blend of varied choices ranging from grilled cheese sandwiches with BBQ to burnt tips with salad! The service is awesome and these folks donate a ton of food and time to local fire and law enforcement agencies as well as international relief organizations. The only down side is that they don’t have a lot of room for eating. There is a small table under roof, and some picnic tables out back. I like to take my order to go.

Great food! You walk in, order, and it comes in to go containers. There are 2 tables there and it isn’t super warm inside so I suggest planning to eat it elsewhere. We went down to the whistle hop brewing company to eat. The food was so so good! The pulled pork is delicious and so is the sweet potato thing that’s a side dish. Really can’t go wrong with any of the food here.

YUM!! I consider myself to be a Carolina BBQ snob, and this place is IT. I ordered the pulled pork plate with hush puppies, mac & cheese, and potato salad. For the pork, I ordered the vinegar sauce — which had a GREAT tang (some places claim to use vinegar based sauce and make it way too sweet)! Hush puppies were some of the best I’ve ever had. Mac & Cheese was very creamy. Glad we stopped by!

The BBQ here is great, but the sweet potatoes and mac and cheese are my favorites. There are a few spots to sit outside, and it has a classic roadside pit stop feel. That said, they pack everything up in togo boxes, so I would just as soon snag lunch before having a picnic. They also have really great catering.

Amazing place. The staff have always been nice and welcoming. My husband and I have to eat there at least once a week. Everything on their menu is delicious. I highly recommend.

Highly recommend checking out this gem if you’re visiting Asheville! We stopped here the first night and found ourself coming back again and again for more! Their sweet tea is amazing as well as their pulled pork and beef brisket! We were disappointed to hear that they were out of Texas toast and hush puppies when we visited, but nevertheless we were not dissatisfied with our meals! Again, I highly recommend checking out this place, especially if you love all things bbq like my family

Moved to the area in early 2022. I eat here 2-3 times a week. Arguably the best restaurant in Fairview. World class smoked pork. Amazing sides. Super friendly owner. Proud American establishment! They really support the community and are big supporters of the police, which in this day and age is refreshing to see.

Excellent food! We were driving by on our way to chimney Rock, and saw this place and decided to stop. We got there 15 minutes before they open, but they took our order anyhow. We got the family meal deal with collard greens, Mac n cheese, and sweet potatoes. Oh. Em. Gee! Super yummy!

This place has great bbq. I’m a bit of a bbq connoisseur and judge everything against old pit cooked Carolina BBQ. to be honest I don’t know how this place cooks their bbq, I know it’s smokes and very well done. Moist but not sopping, very smoky, plenty of outside brown. The red slaw was great and the Mac and cheese was tasty, the fries were.good and the sweet potato crisp was very good. Typically I’d try the brisquet before leaving a review but for a bbq traditionalist, this place was great, had a few sauces to choose from. Service was prompt and the food was ready fairly quickly. The sweet potatoes may have been microwaved, maybe the Mac and cheese I don’t know but they were both good. It was also the first time I had a Fresca with bbq. Typically I’m a sweet tea/Cheerwine/Sun.Drop/ RC Cola with bbq guy, but it as refreshing. I believe this is a take out only joint but there are a couple of tables if you can get them. It’s definitely worth a stop.
