Randomly stumbled upon this place with my boyfriend and I was so excited to try vegan BBQ. I got the vegan BLT, mac and cheese, and fries. Everything was great, but the mac and cheese could use a bit more seasoning. It definitely wasn’t bad – it just didn’t have much flavor. I would suggest adding salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Other than that, it was amazing! They have a great outdoor seating area and an entire vegan menu.

Worst BBQ I’ve ever had at a restaurant. I ordered Brisket, Turkey and Sausage. Sausage had little flavor and even less smoke, Turkey was dry, and pictured is how they served the brisket, I’ve never seen it served this way and had asked was this Pork or Beef, guy assured me it was Beef.

Finding a fully vegan menu at a BBQ place in the Midwest is unhear of unless you go here! I was amazed to see this online, so I went in hopeful. Vegans have their own cashier, and all vegan items are cooked on separate grills and in separate fryers than the non-vegan items… so there’s no cross-contamination. (The fries on the non-vegan line are fried in the same grease they fry their bacon.)

Terrible portions. Food was blah. Did a pick 2 meat plate… got 1 slice of brisket that he weighed on a scale and the “Italian sausage” was boiled and grey. Wish I had a better experience as I wasn’t too love the place based on the ambience.

The brisket sandwich on garlic bread was awesome. It was tender and juicy, nothing like the dry brisket often served in BBQ places. The broccoli casserole was good, as were the fries. If you are in the area, I would recommend stopping in.

We had an all around terrific experience here! All of the staff was super kind, the food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious! As a vegan I really appreciate having a menu with multiple different options. I recommend the jackfruit sandwich, the vegan ribs, and the seasoned fries! My boyfriend is not a vegan and was raving about the vegan food! The owner is wonderful and you can tell he really cares about his customers! We can’t wait to come back to support this business and try the other items on the vegan menu!

No one in line at 6pm on a Wednesday. The smoked flavor of the meat is incredible!! The carrots, spicy buttered corn, collard greens and beans were delicious as well! My boyfriend said it was the best pork steak he’s ever had! Beautiful setting to eat as well. Felt very Texas to me on the inside.
