Brenda was our server and she was super friendly, fast on her feet and paid attention to us well! The food is reasonably priced and super tasty! Love the outside seating and my man was able to take in some sports news while dining

Unfortunately this place was bad enough to warrant and rare review from me. The brisket had zero favor, zero moisture, and the “crust”/smoke ring was almost non-existent. Anyone who enjoys quality BBQ will hate the food here. The server was very attentive and atmosphere is nice.

3 star review is 100% because they ran out of brisket. Our dinner was 730pm, still early in the evening and they didn’t tell us until after we were already ready eating an appetizer so we were sort of stuck there. Went with the ribs and they were good but only reason we went was for brisket.

Great food! We were seated quickly even though it was a busy Saturday afternoon. Blueberry lemonade was FANTASTIC! I got the fried chicken sandwich which was great, and my boyfriend loved the brisket. Our server Sean was great! Really nice and checked in frequently. If you’re in Newport and looking for well priced, delicious food this is a must!

Food was great. Great flavors etc. definitely in the high price side for BBQ but location also makes a difference.

This place was great, modestly priced for a restaurant right on the main drag in Newport, 3 of us had drinks and food for about 100 dollars. Great American barbecue style food with awesome atmosphere. Make a reservation on the weekends because it gets busy.

We LOVE Smoke House! It’s not a visit to Newport without getting some pulled pork nachos. We also tried the, “That’s Sooo Cuke!” cocktails and they were delicious!!

Wandered in for lunch and had a pleasant enough time, but was ultimately disappointed by some aspects of the experience. Food was okay — baked beans were a highlight and brisket was decent, but salad and beverages left a lot to be desired. Employees were VERY friendly and welcoming, but service was a bit choppy — after ordering drinks, it took us about 20 minutes to place an order for food. Also would have preferred air conditioning, but understand that’s a choice and a perq — not a requisite. I want Smoke House to be awesome, and think it can be — but felt there were some edges to smooth over first.

We stumbled upon this place while exploring Newport and loved everything about it. We started with the clam chowder and smoked chicken wings! Our kids enjoyed their kids meals and they loved that the crayons were Crayola! My wife and I had sandwiches without the bread and a side salad because we are watching carbs. They were more than accommodating. The service was great. The atmosphere was super chill. The food was excellent.

It’s alright. The staff were lovely and the service was quick. We ordered a lobster roll and a bbq meat platter – both were $36.
