The owner was very pleasant on the phone & in-person when ordering & picking up the food. We ordered off of the lunch menu (pulled pork with coleslaw and fried chicken with mac-n-cheese). It came to a total of $18. Food was fresh, hot & delicious. Meat was tender & the sides were a good portion. The mac-n-cheese needs to be more cheesy & “gooey” imo. The cornbread muffin was perfect. The wait time was a reasonable 25 minutes & it was ready on time. Presentation of restaurant was very clean & good energy. The owners & their children were very kind & professional.

I saw posts of this place on Instagram and I knew I had to try it for myself. Got there at the start of dinner time. The owners of the restaurant were very kind, great customer service. I got the Smok’d chicken with Mac and cheese & collard greens. Everything smelled so good, it was a challenge to not eat it on my drive home. The flavor on the chicken was out of this world, the sauce the chef made was magical. The collard greens were spiced and were perfectly cooked. The Mac and cheese was pretty good, I probably would have like it a little cheesier but that’s just a personal preference. I also got a banana pudding for dessert which was amazing. There should be a line out the door for this place!!!

Stopped in for the first time. I had the Brisket cheese steak. It was very tasty with plenty of flavor and a good amount of meat and cheese. The service is fast and friendly. If you’re in the Newark area definitely give the a try.

Ordered the smoked brisket with Mac n cheese and collard greens, and my god I’ve never had food this good. Food is well worth the price and the wait. The owners are also super nice and welcoming! 100% recommend coming here for lunch/dinner.

Recommend 1000% perfectly sized portions on the lunch menu! food was fantastic !highly recommend the pulled pork ,mac n cheese and the collard greens …….good lawd them collard greens was amazing! the staff was friendly and inviting!this place is definitely added to the weekly lunch roster. 10 out of 10 recommend!

Walked in one afternoon, just wanted to try something new. What I found Was my new favorite spot I got the brisket macaroni & greens. The only downside to this restaurant, the owners are Eagle fans. But I’m about to go get that Brisket Cheese steak right now, come join me.
