Just go! Wonderful food and good people. Pulled pork, ribs, brisket are all yummy. My favorite is the pulled pork. Green beans and baked beans are fantastic. I’ve bought their BBQ sauce and love it. Carmel cake was a bit dry for my taste.

As always, this place was delightful. It was nice to see the upgrade and expansion as I even been here in a while. You can feel the peace within this place. The food was hot and delicious. The service was great as usual. This is a nice place to eat, if you want a nice home cooked meal if you dont feel like cooking. I definitely recommend this place and of course, I will be back!

Smoking pit has been one of my Home Town favorites for a while now! Upon entering the restaurant there are scriptures all through out the establishment and it really feels like a plus in addition to the Southern cooked meal that fills me up every single time. I always go in and grab the Create Your Own meal which comes with 2 meats and 2 sides. I usually get 1/2 of rib tips and a fillet of cat fish (request buffalo sauce on the side for you fish, youll thank me later) and for my sides I usually freestyle because all of the sides are amazing as well. 10/10 recommend.

Staff was very friendly and informative but the pulled pork and brisket were quite dry (brisket only coming chopped doesn’t help that) and designed to be eaten with a bunch of sauce. Sauce should be an option to good BBQ to enhance the meat, not required to give it moisture and flavor.

Mannn! Catfish was A1! Mac n cheese was soooo good and baked beans were awesome! I tried caramel cake for the first time and that was very sweet but good especially when you heat it up a little in the microwave! I’ll definitely be back!

Pretty good food didnt have to wait long at all. Loved that they toast the buns for their sandwhiches. Could use more lights in the seating area so it was a bit dark but thats about the only meh thing i have to say. Decent food for decent price.

Good little place to eat. The collards and Mac & cheese where very good. The meat was good quality. The only thing I would do next time is order the BBQ sauce on the side. The BBQ sauce is good but hides the meat flavor and soke flavor. But all in all very good.
