Been there a few times. Had a good band last time we stopped. This time just me and my 5 year old boys for some pepperoni extra cheese pizza and peal & eat shrimp. Both were really good and great friendly service. Twin approved!

Ugh! Horrible! I really like to give good reviews when deserved but the food here is atrocious! Ordered takeout this evening….. steak salad and a dozen wings. If I can attach a pic, you’ll see that $33 worth of garbage food ended up exactly where it belongs, in the garbage! Steak was overcooked and mostly gristle and if you intend to sell the tiniest wings in fayette county, I would suggest you not overcook them. Ours were like eating a tiny bone covered in chicken like dust particles. I know it’s tough to find good help but send that fry cook packing. The only reason for the 2 stars is because the bartender poured a descent drink. I promise that in my lifetime, I will never purchase food from this establishment again!

Food was amazing so glad I found this place. Poole table is in excellent condition I wish they had room for one or two more tables. You can tell they clean the table and the bar area often. It is a small place but I recommend it.

what an amazing find!! we just moved to the area and saw the “kraken” on the menu and had to stop in to see it. not only was that impressive, it was a meal! the appetizer platter had so many goodies. loved the portobello mushroom and beer battered fries. the service was extremely friendly. we met but of the owners and they were great

We stopped for lunch during lent. The bar wa clean, quiet, and cozy. The food was well seasoned and fresh. The server was pleasant and friendly.

Slow service, poor ventilation to handle the cigarette smoke, which permeated the place, and affected the taste of the food (the human senses of smell and taste are closely connected, but maybe they’re both dulled after a long enough time of smoking tobacco products, Idk). This place was chosen by a couple of people with whom I was traveling; though none of us smoke, they seem to be less sensitive to tobacco smoke than I am. An upgraded ventilation system would be an improvement; does being a smoke-friendly place mean that the smoke has to linger in the air and affect the taste of the food made and served there? I wish every healthy success to the owners, workers, and patrons of Smitty’s, but I won’t be back.

We ordered the fried zucchini and it was the best ever! We ordered a steak and cheese sub and buffalo chicken wraps and fries. The food was delicious. Definitely will go back and we have already been spreading the word how good our experience was! Great place to eat!
