This place doesn’t disappoint. They are friendly, and the pulled pork is good. We liked the fried chicken as well. It had a nice crispy coating and the inside was moist. I always liked the idea of having a sink to rinse your hands right at the front. At first I thought it was weird, but after regular napkins don’t get all of the chicken juice and hush puppy butter off, it makes a lot of sense.

Stopped by Smithfield’s BBQ and Chicken. I had the BBQ chicken platter with baked beans, brunswick stew and hushpuppies which I thoroughly enjoyed. The sweet tea was refreshing.

Food is decent and as long as you are not trying to gain employment the staff seems pretty decent. Hiring practices could use some real adjusting though. They seem to miss out on great workers due to what appears to be prejudices against the younger generations trying to get decent work, but hey, their loss. There other chicken places to eat. Like I said, decent food, just don’t try to get a job there.

Barbecue was cooked to the perfection expected of Smithfield’s, unfortunately not all locations meet the mark. Very pleased at this one. Our chicken was fried and delicious, baked beans coleslaw and Brunswick stew and of course the hush puppies were very good and hot as well. Ice tea sweetened just right, even my Dr. Pepper didn’t have the overpowered soda carbonated taste it was good.. We will visit again on our next stop in Jacksonville.

I had the shrimp snack(a full cup of shrimp), and mom had the chicken wing snack(4 wings and fries). One word: Delicious. I’ve never had a bad experience at Smithfields and even 4 years later its one of my favorite restaurants.

Ordered the shrimp plate. Get home and the cole slaw, hush puppies are not in the meal. Fries were cold and they didn’t give me any cocktail sauce. I tried to call the store and phone just rings. Not worth the $16.
