Smashburger offers the BOTH convenient fast food AND a central location near multiple Boston MBTA stations, and Copley Square.

Smashburger is conveniently located in Newbury street. The grilled chicken sandwich’s taste and look are disappointing. The seating space and atmosphere aren’t exactly welcoming.

I recently had an extremely disappointing dining experience at the Smashburger on Boylston. From the poor service to the mediocre food, this location let me down on every front.

This past weekend I went to this Smashburger location in Boston. It was 4:10pm and I had a train to catch at 5pm. Looking through the front glass windows I saw there was no line and I had never tried Smashburger before so I figured I would give it a try. I walked in, placed my order, (an original smashburger and fries), and sat down at a table while I waited for my takeout. While I was waiting a line began to form and it started getting busy. Next I looked and a woman walked in with her baby and the cashier went crazy over her. I didn’t think much of it until the cashier picked up the baby and started taking orders with it in her arms. (I think the cashier knew the babies mother.) After waiting 10 minutes, people who ordered after me started getting their food before me. Mind you I had a train to catch. I stayed patient and then next thing you know this guy walked in with a speaker and starting dancing all over the place. People started recording it and I couldn’t do anything but laugh. The babies mother all of a sudden started working on filling peoples orders in the kitchen. I didn’t think she worked there! Just an all around bizarre experience. After waiting approximately 30 minutes I finally got my food and ran to the train station where I made the train and opened my bag to cold fries and an unappetizing burger. Moral of the story is wouldn’t recommend for the food, but they put on a show. Good? No. Bizarre.

The employee here needs to be better trained and learn customer skills. Food is delayed, one guy today his voice was louder screaming at everyone in the back kitchen, they whisper your name with loud music you barely hear anything ,food stayed at the counter for so long. Smash burgers needs better management especially in an important tourist area. Very bad experience today will never return.

Some of the best vale in terms of price to quality in burgers in Boston as of 2022. And let’s be real we aren’t trying to spend too dollar for a burger. The shakes are also excellent and you get a choice of vegan or really mf diary shakes instead of soggy comprise like most other equivalents. The place it under appreciated because it’s hidden be scaffolding and nearly adjacent to a chic fillet. Callory / is excellent for all who are concerned and the quality easily beats competition in the mid range burger joints. To get equivalent quality you’ll pay double anywhere else.

Normally, I’m a huge Smashburger fan, but unfortunately I have to give this location one star because I was served raw chicken tenders on Jul 15. Anyone who knows anything about food safety can understand the severity of the health concerns that serving raw chicken presents. The staff were apologetic and quickly made me new food, however there is simply no excuse for serving raw chicken. Additionally, the restaurant was rather untidy, and many of the tables were dirty. I will not be visiting this location again.

DO NOT COME HERE! Please see my other reviews to see I’m generally forgiving and positive. I am trying to save you from a horrible experience that I’m sure does not live up to the parent company’s standards.

Expensive for 1 person, took about 10 minutes to get my food even though there was only 2 people ahead of me. Even though it took so long, the fries were cold/soggy, and the burger was way too well done/ burnt. While I was eating, one of the employees was picking something from their slides they were wearing, and was on their phone while another customer was waiting.
