I was so happy to see they are open for lunch on the weekends, so i finally got to try. I ordered the dumplings and the pork ramen. The vibes were right, dumplings were crisp on the outside, flavorful on the inside and the ramen was perfect.

Slurp! isn’t the worst ramen I’ve ever had– that goes to the deservedly short-lived Kaze in Carytown– but it’s probably the second worst, displacing Foo Dog (but only because they didn’t try to be authentic and went the fusion route).

Tried this place last night hoping it would be a nearby, convenient, place with good food. While we were met with welcoming employees, a nice aesthetic; the food was not acceptable and reading their large amount of reviews on it, it appears they are not taking any feedback into account.

I’ve been so excited for this restaurant to open. We were at the front of the line opening day and I have got to say that it did not disappoint. The Gyoza was mind blowingly delicious. I wish that we had ordered the wings as well because they look amazing and I’ve heard great things from friends. Next time!

Agree with other reviews on the broth. Service was great and everyone was very friendly. Wait was about an hour which is fine for a new spot that everyone is trying to get into.We were also disappointed about the highballs being unavailable, but again being a new restaurant sometimes things happen. We had the tonkatsu and the portions were good and everything else in the ramen was tasty, but there was just no flavor in the broth at all. I truly hope they make the necessary changes in that realm, as we like the place itself and would happily go back if they did. But there are just too many other ramen spots in RVA to compete with on taste to not bring it 100%.

Great servers and good atmosphere, the ramen is mediocre at best. It came hot but the noodles were over cooked and lackluster flavor, making it not worth consuming. Perhaps in time, they will perfect their cooking time and seasoning.

I am so glad I decided to try! Delicious Japanese style ramen and the vibes are impeccable. I went on my own with a book and really enjoyed my time! The staff was friendly and helpful and the ramen was so yummy. I got the tonkatsu ramen with shredded pork and will absolutely be back to try the rest!

When it comes to being a good restaurant, there are a lot of factors in play. Slurp! Ramen nails them all. The food is absolutely excellent. The restaurant itself is conveniently located and accessible. The place has a great vibe and the staff rocks. I really recommend checking them out!

We had an incredible experience here! The ambiance is really great and the place has a lively and energetic vibe. The service was superb, and the staff went above and beyond. We tried a variety of appetizers (all delicious) and my ramen dish was definitely the highlight of the night–great presentation and incredibly flavorful. I honestly don’t understand some of these other reviews. This place just opened and they are killing it – especially considering everything that goes into this initial phase. Show them some grace, people… It’s the perfect addition to Church Hill and I’m really looking forward to the cocktail bar opening up next door. We will be back!

I was very excited for this place to open, but my first visit was very underwhelming. Tried two different flavors of their Ramen. The presentation of food and the interior design was great. Soft boiled egg was perfectly cooked. But arguably the most important part of good ramen?? The Broth. The two different broths we tried had almost no flavor (miso and shoyu). They tasted like spare water from boiling corn without any salt. I tried to save it by adding some spice oil, but that also was very bland and didn’t add much flavor. I will give them a second chance after I see other reviews stop mentioning how flavorless the broth is. I am honestly shocked.
