1st and foremost, hugh props to the cooks here, the food was excellent and up to the quality I would expect from this type of restaurant.

I made a reservation for my daughter and my new son-in-law last night. They recently got married and are both in the military and away from family. I wanted to treat them to a nice dinner and looked up best restaurant in Grand Forks since I live far away and don’t know the area.

I came here for brunch because I had heard some good things about this place. But honestly the food was tasteless. The chiken i got came with bell peppers and onions. But you can tell its quite old. They didn’t prepare anything from scratch. The beans and rice are made in bulk for the whole day, which is understandable. But the chicken could have been cooked to order. The veggies lose there crunch and the texture is weird. I asked for salt and pepper and she brought me a salt shaker that had the holes clogged. So the salt can’t come out. She seen me and didn’t even offer to bring me a different one. I almost felt like a was a burden to her. Does she not know that she works for tips. She has to earn the tip. Its not a given. I usually tip 10 percent regarless of how horrible the service was and from there I go up according to how my service went. I tip 40% quite a bit. But unfortunately not today. I will give it another try and come for dinner. Maybe that will be bettered prepared.

Exceptional cuisine and top shelf service make this one of the must visit restaurants in Grand Forks. The duck comes highly recommended, the lamb was described as ‘to die for’ and I can say unequivocally that the pan fried walleye was an experience I seek to have again. And while enjoying a delicious dinner order a bottle of their malbec…you may not be familiar with thus Argentinian vintage but it will become a favorite. Don’t wait – get over there and eat!

The food and in-restaurant experience was great. After the meal, we tried to leave, but the catering vehicle was parked exceptionally close to the handicapped parking spot meaning we could not immediately leave. I went back into the restaurant to ask for help. After waiting twenty minutes, we decided to back up and load in the alley, but the fact that my grandfather could not re-enter his vehicle with clearly marked handicapped accessories was disappointing.

Service was terrible sitting at the bar. No refills, 10 minutes to pay the bill. It’s a neat place and food is good, but the service was terrible. They had 4 people working the bar; It wasn’t because they were understaffed.

Everything about this place is 100% 5 star. It’s not my personal choice of flavor for most of the steak entrees I’ve had here, however, some of the best hors d’oeuvres, deserts, and beverages I’ve ever had! Relaxing atmosphere and exceptional service! Great place to bring a group of friends and catch up.

Hands down worst customer service and food I’ve have ever recieved and that includes fast food restaurants. From the hostess not taking us to a table, to the server bringing me apple juice in a soup bowl when I asked for a Togo cup for my daughter and the food being near inedible. The salmon was straight up dry and the glaze was nasty, the Wasabi rice in the ahi tuna dish made me feel like I was being punched in the nose. Wasabi in dishes should be Suttle not over powering. The whole experience honestly just made me angry.

It was just Ok. The prime rib was tough. The rack of lamb was decent. The French onion soup had way too much Worcestershire. The restaurant atmosphere and setting was nice. I would not eat there again.
