This place is an amazing gem. I ordered the kebab sandwich and was blown away by every aspect. The bread tasted freshly baked and I was in well after 1pm, side of fresh salad. Let the photos speak for themselves.

I am so glad my friend suggested Simurgh Bakery for lunch! They bake everything from scratch, including the phyllo dough for the baklava. My friend went traditional, but you know I could not resist those vibrant colors for the chocolate-pistachio…so good!

We were in the Bay Area / SF and we were looking for a cafe. There’s many in SF but the parking there is awful. So we searched for one nearby and came across this Turkish Cafe.

Gorgeous food. We ate breakfast there and took other things home to eat later. I’ve been a customer at her farmer’s market stands and can’t recommend this cafe highly enough! The bourek, simit, rose pistachio turkish delight, baklava, pide bread— everything (even the phyllo dough) is made fresh. Can’t wait to return!

I fell in love with Turkish tea when I visited Istanbul years ago and I’m so happy to find a place that serves it near me. The Turkish bagels are so good here, too. And the rose Turkish delights… wow. Love this little spot.

Everything is delicious. We always buy some desserts, breads and appetizers to go as well. I especially liked their kabob and dolma.

Tasty vegan sandwich with grilled veggies. Recommend another cup of Turkish tea on the side. Also love the special salad sauce on fresh vegetables.

There is an unusual sense of intimacy and warmth in the atmosphere and experience with the beautiful ladies preparing the food and serving it to you. The food was delicious, filling and flavorful. The Turkish delight paired with the coffee, chicken sandwich and the flatbread were “inhaled” by my petite self the minute the plates landed my table. I also stole the leftovers that my husband and family brought home in the middle of the night. Sshh.
