Simply southern bistro opened December 14, 2009. It is a small restaurant that seats about 84 people and serves a wide variety of food. The Signature dish is shrimp and grits. We also have seafood plates. Steak, burgers and sandwich’s . Jeff dennis is the chef/ owner and has 20 years experience in the food world.

I had the Duck breast, collard greens and fried okra. Quite honestly, some of the best food I have ever eaten…in the top 10 meals from across the entire country, for this type of cuisine. The menu was simple, the service quick and the food fantastic! Even the prices were good and within reason. I will be back!

The food is so good. Our waiter was a very nice man and got us our food quickly. I got a buffalo chicken sandwich and that’s some good food. I also recommend the cream cheese block because it’s just amazing. The food is also very fairly priced. Overall if you are ever in Sumter this is honestly the best place to eat.
