We decided to come try out some soul food on this good Sunday! We were a bit confused at first because it is attached to the best Western, but to be honest, that did not mess with the review at all. The food and the service were A1, and we all were impressed and satisfied. The oxtails, Mac and cheese, cabbage, greens, the crispy chicken, and waffles were the bomb!!! We will be back for suuuurrrreee. They also had the bar open, and we tried “The Paul”, nice and smooth, and went well with what we ordered. I definitely recommend coming down to try this place. Our waitress also let us know about the open mic nights and other live music that they offer here. Being new to the Winston-Salem area, this was definitely a win for the books. Thanks to all the Staff!! ☮️

This was my first time trying out Simply Sonya’s. I called for a take out order. I arrived late to pick up, and the owner had to remake my fish because she couldn’t sell it to me. She was so polite and her food was AMAZING! Everything was absolutely delicious and flavorful. Sonya was extremely professional, kind, and generous! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place. I’m so grateful for her integrity and going over and beyond, though I was late to pick up my order. Will definitely be visiting again soon and telling others to check her out! ❤️

Order take out for three different meals , customer service over the phone was excellent however the food wasn’t . I stated I wanted my chicken wings fried hard , chicken wings didn’t seem all the way done and they were hairy . Potatoes salad was runny & very sweet . Greens were not favorable, Mac n cheese milk at the bottom as if it still needed be cooked longer . My experience wasn’t pleasant as far as the food , but customer service over the phone was excellent.

Simply Sonya’s is simply fabulous! A new favorite for our family. The food and drinks are delicious. The staff is friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is casual for lunch and dinner and hopping in the evening. Sonya is anything but simple – she is an extraordinary host who made us (and everyone who walked through the door) feel special and welcome.

Attended the Black in the day game show event at Simply Sonya’s and must say I was impressed with the food, drinks, and service as well. This is a black owned establishment that I plan to frequent often. The wings with Simply Sonya sauce was juicy and delicious. The late night burger was hand patted and grilled to perfection with a secret sauce to die for. I definitely recommend.

I’ve known Miss Sonia for years; but visited her restaurant a few weeks ago! I can not begin to tell you how delicious my food was; and my drink. Sonia was there and so personable! If you stop in be sure and congratulate her on her engagement! I’ll be returning there sooner than later.
