Old school, local color atmosphere. Traditional pasta and entree resaurant. Focus on quality and a relaxed good time. I had the rib steak wirh rigatoni. Service is attentive. No pretense but attention to the customer here.

Stopped on a whim. This is an old school place that hasn’t been updated in 50 years. Walked in and heard Dean Martin music playing, which I love. Got the Veal Silvestro and it truly was amazing. Very tender, very delicious. No frills here. Waitress was very nice and very attentive. You should go, if nothing else to take a step back in time!

I ordered a lobster tail. It was one of the largest best tasting best cook lobsters I’ve had in years there’s a must stop in Lake County. I haven’t seen a restaurant like this since I was a kid.

We went on a Wednesday afternoon at 430..perfect time because it got very busy after. The fried shrimp were just that. The side of spag and meatballs was huge. The others were good. The price was too much for pasta and fried foods but the bread was good and the butter spreadable.

Food was great. Service was good. My steak was overcooked but still delicious. I ordered medium and it came with just a slight pink (see pics). Overall experience was good and we will give it another try. Small dining room so there most definitely be a wait if you go around 5 to 6. Bar is huge!

The food is excellent and portion size is large. Love this place.

This is absolutely one of the best kept secrets in N.E. Ohio!!! The surf and turf is amazing! It’s not cheap… But if you want quality food, you pay what it’s worth. The veal in the bernaise sauce with crab was decadent. The prime rib was fork tender with succulent mushrooms. My daughters salmon was cooked to perfection. I have no complaints, at all. Great food at fair market price! Can’t wait til my birthday!!! Great job Silvestro’s.

Okay, so I am going to be honest here—I think this restaurant is nothing special. I travel a lot and have ate all Italian restaurants not only all over the country but also in Ohio. I think this restaurant here is expensive for what it is—which in my opinion is somewhat low quality. We spent about $300 here (8 of us on one tab) and I thought the food would be better for how expensive it is. The salad was disappointing and is 100% the same lettuce mix you could easily grab at giant Eagle for like $3 a bag—the house made ranch was actually pretty good, probably the best part of the meal. The portions are good but does that matter when the food isn’t good? Those who ate the lobster and steak said it was not seasoned, two of the steaks were way undercooked compared to how we ordered them. The pasta sauce does not taste like a good homemade sauce (which is what you’d expect from a place that is this expensive). I see why this place is popular in painesville though and that’s because there’s not all that much to pick from nearby—I’d say either go to zappetellis in mentor or to make yourself a pasta dinner at home and save yourself the money because this meal is expensive for what it is. Truly, I have ate at many many restaurants across the US and this i would say has been on of the most disappointing for the price. Also service was not the best.

Stick with the Italian offerings, don’t spend the extra $$ for the prime rib or the lobster tail. The quality of the raw materials for those dishes just isn’t there. Although the portions are huge, that doesn’t make up for substandard ingredients. I had prime rib, my wife had lobster tail. My prime rib was chewy and overcooked, and my wife’s lobster tail almost inedible. My wife sent back the broccoli due to a funny taste — and my wife KNOWS broccoli. The potatoes, described as buttered redskin potatoes, were just bland white potatoes boiled almost beyond recognition. Our pinot grigio was warm when served. Salad was good and fresh, though. Service was okay. We were there on a Sunday, so things might have been a little lax, but for as much as we spent, I would have expected much better.
