Most of the combinations come with egg. I had the sisig silog. Surprisingly not that salty. I like the aesthetic of the banana leaves as the plate. It was a slow night on a Thursday. You pay at the register and order food there.

I’ve been to this place quite a few times over the years, and the food is good.

I was so excited to eat here again since I used to love this restaurant but relocated a couple years ago. I started frequenting Silog when they first opened and were profiled on Eater LA. My ex was Filipino and he enjoyed it as well. I’m in town so I decided to try it again with my cousin-awful. Not a big deal, but before they used to seat and serve you-now you’re on your own. Everyone was polite, but not attentive at all, like never checked on us. Maybe they aren’t required to? I ordered the chicken adobo and sisig appetizer with calamansi tea. The adobo was very sweet to me and it was shredded. I guess shredded isn’t a big deal, but I’ve never had it served that way. The sisig… I kept feeling like I was crunching on sand, eggshells…really weird consistency and texture. Needless to say, I didn’t eat anymore. My husband was Filipino, I’ve eaten a ton of Filipino food…never have I felt like I was eating sand. I thought for a minute it was fried garlic…not sure what it was but it was unpleasant. My calamansi tea was beyond sweet… I finished it because I was thirsty and it still had good flavor, but super sweet. I’m not sure what happened here, but definitely not the quality of food I was used to which is a bummer

Service was okay, not bad but could have been better. Food was good but I wish you would get more than 3pcs of longanisa. Wish halo halo also had more toppings in it besides the beans

A couple of things: this is a self-service restaurant where you order from their counter, pick up the food yourself, and then throw away your trash when you’re done eating. Based on my recent experience with this restaurant, I should’ve stayed home and cooked the food myself to avoid having to tip and pay for them to use their credit card machine (yes, they charge their customers a CC fee of 4%). Oh, I haven’t even started with their food yet. Long story short, avoid their adobo if you’re hypertensive. Way too salty!

Very good! Very! Great place to take a date. Just be careful, might run into spoiled customers that are disrespectful to there own step kids….. but management should of kicked them out but its ok. Very understandable

First time here to celebrate a birthday with quite a few people. It was a fun experience, the food sat on top of banana leaves on the table. There were no plates (except for a few bowls holding soupier food) and no utensils. Yes, you eat with your hands! But don’t worry they provide plenty of napkins and a hot towel for cleaning up. The food itself had plenty of variety, I didn’t try it all, but whatever I did try was tasty – and way too much of it. Make sure to come hungry! For drinks I had a mojito and though it way non-alcoholic, it was good. The staff was really nice and always had a smile on their face. It was a great experience!

Always have trouble deciding whether I want silog, tacos, salad or tots. No matter what I decide, it’s always delicious and perfectly portioned. This time I tried the Garlic shrimp salad and the shrimp was so perfectly cooked, I’m afraid to ever cook shrimp again at home lest I disappoint myself!

Craving Filipino food, found this closest to me on a lazy Sunday, 1 table inside and 3 outside tables available for dine in, small menu and fairly priced, the calamansi mojito is pretty good, would come back when I’m in the area again.
