Sat at the bar, solo diner. The burger and cocktails were both excellent and beautiful. Had a nice chat with the bartender on a slower evening. Look forward to a return trip.

My husband and I went out for a rare childless date night together and decided to check out “Sidecar”. This is the new bar and small plate place from the genius owner behind “home.made” restaurant. In fact, they are next to each other! When we entered we were welcomed with a moody dark vibe and laid back music. We were seated up by the piano backing hung on the wall. We are not alcoholic drinkers, so we went right in with our order. First to come out was my warmed Brussels. This dish has a sweet crumble. They had shaved Brussel sprout on top. Incredibly sweet and best vegetables I’ve had in a while!! Next came my mussels. The sauce was a rich and delightful tomato rich treat. They give you a huge piece of bread to sop that wonderful sauce up. The mussels were the freshest seafood I’ve had in a while (and I’m from Maine). Finished the meal with a black and white cookie and homemade donut ice cream!!! This is the BEST cookie I have even had the pleasure of eating in my life. A soft lemon cake like cookie with thick sugary black and white icing. The donut ice cream with sprinkles was so saturated with donut flavor….it was jammed packed with donut pieces. 5 STARS! Will be back again. Cool lounge vibe with quality food. Will be going back!

Disappointed. I finally got back from being out of town working and wanted to take my lovely girlfriend out. We waited for over 35 minutes to have the bartender tell us she was just pouring our drinks. The tables to either side of us had received service, and even had water brought to their tables. Not us. We had even asked for water when ordering drinks. I was excited to try the small plates, but after waiting so long, I decided to go elsewhere. Our order was clearly forgotten about. Waitress apologized stating “it got zoomy”. I’ve hardly felt so ignored. The drinks were OK at best, not worth it.

This place is amazing. Went for the first time on Thursday and had two absolutely fantastic cocktails, and a couple delicious small plates.
