Meat wasn’t at or above expectations. The white rice was clumped together like it was 6 hours old. I spit it out and gave the rest to my dog. She took a big bite ready to feast and spit it back out as well. It’s right outside Mt apartment complex so wish it was good but I honestly don’t think I could see myself coming back. I spend $1-2 less at China King for 5x better quality food.:/

My husband and I have been searching for a decent Chinese place south of DC for a while and we finally found it! We have ordered from Shun Xing several times (just to make sure it wasn’t a fluke) and every time the food has been hot, fresh and flavorful. This is our Chinese takeout spot from now on.

They person who answered the phone kept interrupting while I was ordering by asking ” is that it” repeatedly. So much so they got my order wrong. The food was also gross. My egg roll tasted greasy and recooked. I would not ever order from here again. $40 wasted on two meals and chicken wings! I should have read the other reviews before ordering. That is the human shrimp.

Stopped by for carry out on my way north…was sooo pleasantly surprised. Food was above average… perfect! I ordered chicken and broccoli and egg foo yung. Fried rice was delicious.

Disgusting food. I ordered shredded beef with scallions. I received a bowl full of white onions. I had to search for the meat. Got a credit and ordered a replacement entree – beef and broccoli. The meat was gray and was so tough, I could not chew it. I don’t even think it was beef. Doordash would not give me a refund. It’s ridiculously expensive…don’t do it! You will be extremely disappointed!

Don’t know what has happened here. Food and service has gone downhill. Ordered on 4/4/2022 – Several items on PuPu platter were over-cooked/old, specifically ribs and teriyaki beef, gave that to the dog. Wings tasted like they were recooked. Missing dipping sauce. My Sesame Chicken had maybe a dozen seeds sprinkled on top, no sesame flavor and the meat was very chewy, tasted more like old pork. On the flip side, the “Specialty”/more expensive dishes were perfect – Gen. Tsos and the Seafood with extra garlic cooked to perfection. Might try again as I have had many good experiences here over the 10+ years but this visit was sub-par. Was actually ill from eating the overloaded MSG food, the Egg Drop Soup had so much corn starch added that I had to thin it out with water (you could have cut it with a knife when cold, it was so thick). Stay away from the nasty PuPu “platter”!!

We had ordered from since summer of 2021 and have screamed about this food so good, best around! Until our Christmas Eve dinner. Food was late, burnt fried dumpling, burnt spring rolls, thia yellow noodle shrimp just like shrimp lo mein, and they forgot the hot and sour soup on a 158 $ order. Never again!
