Just left and it was an awesome experience. Our group got brisket, pork, catfish and of course the amazing Mac ‘n Cheese. Would definitely go back. The Owner was extremely attentive and (better yet) fun.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. This is literally the nastiest bbq I’ve ever had. The brisket has no flavor, the chicken looked ten days old and DRY! I requested a refund and the owner offered to refund me for the meat but not my whole meal. When I pressed her about a full refund she got a very unprofessional nasty attitude saying she’s a small business and I’m costing her money!!! Perhaps if your food wasn’t disgusting you wouldn’t have this issue. I am having to dispute this transaction with my bank because Shundra refused to refund me in full. I left her nasty food that I wouldn’t feed to a dog at her restaurant along with her nasty attitude!!! And read her low reviews please, she has a history of serving nasty food with a nasty attitude!

Delicious! The Brown Sugar Baby sauce was tasty! Nice smoke to the meat. Creamy potatoes. Good Mac and Cheese! Definitely going back for more! I wish they had a vinegar based sauce similar to those found in Eastern NC.

My husband and I eat out a great deal! We’ve become food/restaurant critics of sorts. With that said, we felt compelled to bring attention to Sundra’s Soul Smokehouse in Tampa. The food there was very fresh, nicely seasoned and extremely tasty!! We give the food, service and atmosphere a 10 out of 10!!!! If you’re ever in the area looking for a good home cooked meal SHUNDRAS is your spot!!

I was really looking forward to trying this place. We ordered ribs, brisket, chicken , mac and cheese, collard greens and fried okra. Once we ordered the only thing we heard was the mircowave beeping as they heated up our food! None of the food was smoked and had very little flavor, the brisket says moist on menu it was dry as can be and no smoke ring. The chicken says smoked it wasnt and the skin was mushy and reheated. The ribs were also reheated. Nothing was freshly made except for the fried okra. I could go on and on. Was totally disappointed we wasted $50.

Nice little hole in the wall restaurant and the man and woman whom I assume are the owners, are very nice and made sure our experience was great. Food was absolutely amazing, especially the brisket. 10/10 would recommend. I intend to return in the near future

I wanna say the only good thing I had there was the catfish and brisket anything else was gross or store bought. I’m all for supporting local restaurants and business and I tried the sample platter but most of the sides were just reheated. The mac and cheese which had good flavor but was stuck together like day old Mac. The collard greens and pulled pork both had a weird and bad aftertaste like soapy water. The meat had potential but it was so dry like they reheated it in the microwave. The people working there was really nice and helped us through the menu. Again somethings on the menu is really good but others you could live without

Great food and local business in the Tampa Bay Area. Definitely needs more business and they are friendly and helpful for new customers. Will be returning here after my rounds of golf in the area. The Hot Mess bowl is an instant W and must-try but the Mac n Cheese alone is enough to keep me coming back.

This place has great food!!! Dont judge this catty corned pub neighbor by it’s cover. Best bbq Ive wver had in tampa amd Ive been here since 86. It won’t be long before they catch on. We are going back tonight before it gets too crowded for routine visits. Loved the mac and cheese! The succotash is amazing.
