This place is absolutely disgusting. Had Sesame Chicken yesterday and even the kids to taste that it was cooked in old grease. Will NEVER in my life go there again, and it’s right across the street from my residence. 10 out of 10, don’t recommend. You will see for yourself, trust me. And the cashier lady at the front has a nasty attitude. At least let the food be good if you’re going to have an attitude.

Orange chicken was phenomenal fried rice was lite and fluffy not greasy like other places I usually can’t eat Chinese fried rice it makes me sick because of the greasiness

My husband and I always go past this restaurant and we decided to give it a try today and let me tell you it was amazing! We had the orange chicken and chicken fried rice and it was absolutely delicious! The orange chicken was cooked perfectly it had a crunch and was full of flavor! The costumer service was amazing as well! They were such amazing and nice people. My husband and I will definitely be coming back!

Updated review: “Two more years later and this resturant is still the best in the area!“ Shun Xing resturant has fantastic fresh Chinese food. We have over two decades of experience with Chinese restaurants in the Hampton Roads area. We used to order out from the Chinese restaurants in Poquoson, Virginia but the Shun Xing resturant has consistently had far superior food. The portions of meat may appear to be smaller than other restaurants, but Shun Xing uses a much better quality meat and it is very much appreciated for healthy meals. This is definitely the way to go. The sauces included in the meal selections also have a homemade fresh taste so they really add a home style flavor. The chef always has our order ready on time and the order is very hot and well packed. We estimate that we have had over 60 meals from the Shun Xing restaurant during the past two years. The staff are aways welcoming and great. Shun Xing is an excellent resturant.

I can’t speak to the quality of the food compared to comparable restaurants in the area (I don’t get Chinese takeout often), yet compared to the Chinese takeout I’ve had in my life, the food was sub-par.

I honestly don’t know what all the one star reviews are about. My wife and I just went here, got the family bundle with 2x orange chicken and 2x fried rice. The order came out to be around 29.50, with a 5.50$ was 35.00.

This is my new go to spot..alot better then “panda Chinese takeout” off Hampton Hwy…so far I’ve tried the beef brocolli, general Tso with light sauce, and the chicken broccoli….. It was all delicious and the textures perfect. The veggie fried rice is a bit Salty so don’t add soy sauce to it…id opt for the white rice… But I’ll be back to try more and update this review
