Spicy house special fried rice was good, I did add some spice at home as I prefer it a little spicier. Beef with broccoli (w/garlic sauce) was tasty, and we enjoyed the boneless spare ribs appetizer as well. Thank you for the excellent service.

My husband and I went here for lunch and it was not open on a Wednesday. It said they opened at 11:30am, and it was 12:30pm. We were excited to try a new local food place since we just moved here, but sadly could not. We looked in the windows and no one was there. Has it gone out of business?

This place is a hidden gem!

Food was bland and overly greasy, but I really liked the staff and cooks.

Owner is always very friendly and the food is always consistent with good portions. Honestly one of the better Chinese restaurants around, particularly for VT. Like a lot of people have mentioned, the wait times can get long – I usually call at least an hour before I’m expecting to pick up.

Usually order Chinese in Shelburne, but this place is much closer to my house. We ordered a few things, but I’m not sure what kind of meat is actually in this broccoli and chicken.. I took one bite and it definitely didn’t taste like chicken (or look like it)

Their new location on Main St is super convenient and more spacious. Same wonderful mom and pop owners and local residents for decades. The food here is excellent. Fried chicken wings are not battered but marinated with a house blend that is savory with a hint of sweetness. I always come to get my off menu Homestyle scrambled eggs with shrimp and green onion, simple and paired with warm white rice hits the spot each time. General Tso’s chicken is a bit saucy for richness but my kids absolutely loves them. Yes, wait can be long as expected on weekends, so order ahead. But, i always prefer eating at a restaurant that’s busy than one that’s not.

Visited Vermont for the weekend and stopped here. Great food for a great price. I’ve been thinking about this food ever since. Crabmeat Rangoon, general sesame chicken were fantastic.

give these folks a bit longer than the estimated wait time and your patience will be rewarded with a delicious meal. Definitely don’t show up exactly on time and loudly complain about how long it’s taking because these people have worked hard throughout the pandemic to feed the community and it’s tough out there!

Been going here for years since its the only Chinese food in town. Lets start with the food just isn’t good. It is mediocre and oversweet at best and some dishes are just plain bad. Now onto my bigger beef, the owner lies constantly. Every order they say will take 30 min, no matter how busy. Most nights its at least 50 min wait. Menu claims “we can alter the amount of spice according to your taste”. This isn’t true, they don’t have the proper spices and beyond the oversweet sauces you will only find some red pepper flakes. There are also some price **errors** on the menu and surprise, they aren’t in the customers favor! I am a patient person but after YEARS of constant errors and excuses without a single apology or offer of refund/replacement I am done. Will never be back. You will have a better experience getting your meal from the frozen section at Shaw’s.
