Showmars’ first location in Durham is located in the Brier Creek neighborhood. We have been serving fresh, made-to-order dishes, to the community since 2019. Folks tend to stop by for dinner, and enjoy our Flounder Platter, Gyro Pita, or World Famous Fish Sandwich – just a few of our most popular dishes! Showmars Brier Creek Kitchen is heavily involved in our local community – with a huge focus on supporting the Make A Wish Foundation. We’d love to say it’s because of our food, but our top notch customer service is what keeps families coming back for more. If you’re in the Brier Creek neighborhood, stop by and say “hello”!

I was thinking this was a fancy restaurant by the name. It’s a top notch fast food restaurant style. The menu choices are awesome and have something for all types of people. The customer service from the front end counter to the staff that brought me my food was polite, used a smile, and dressed neatly. I had the fried fish sandwich and coleslaw. The fish could have been a little more seasoned. I should have asked to have the fish fried hard. Even with these few issues I still enjoyed my fish sandwich. The coleslaw was delicious and the sweet tea was great. I will visit this restaurant again to try other items on their menu.

This was my first time to Showmars. We are in town visiting family. The food was fresh and had great flavor. The portion size was great on the menu items. The Greek salad was very yummy! I don’t usually like tartar sauce but this one had great flavor. I’d love to know the recipe.

When am order take out some time was not every day? Just order seafood to bring it home. there some busy lot customers loved seafood depending on them. It’s pretty good food as you can go there. The people lived in apartments nearby to go drive to pick up food. Some people used to apps order like 15 – 20 miles drive to take out order.

Found this gem recently and can’t wait to go back! You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. My husband got the flounder and shrimp platter and I got the calabash shrimp. Our food was brought out quickly, piping hot, and cooked perfectly! The flounder was tender and the breading was tasty and light. The fries were cooked well, too! Generous portions of food. Service was top notch. Highly recommend this neighborhood gem!

Good food. Was intrigued by the name of this place and the concept of sea food and Greek food. Ordered a side green salad and wanted to try the fish so the employee recommended paying for a piece of flounder and a bun (since I wasn’t exceptionally hungry). Enjoyed the fried flounder and making my own sandwich. The green salad was something I feel like I could make at home but good flavor and enjoyable. Would probably go again

Okay…. I have to give it to them… their “WORLD FAMOUS FISH SANDWICH” is one of the Best I’ve ever had!! It had plenty of juicy, tender but crispy Flounder on a nice buttery bun and the Tartar Sauce set it off. Beautifully Decorated Restaurant, Friendly Staff, Nice CLEAN Restrooms and Great Food Fast! I’ll be back to explore more on the Menu. I also got to enjoy the Greek Salad, the CHICKEN SOUVLAKI SKEWERS and those perfectly cooked Crinkled Fries.

Good food, good prices, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful! The Greek food was somewhat unimpressive (we got the gyro platter, hummus, and pita), especially the hummus, but everything else was great (flounder & shrimp and the pepper jam sandwich). We’ll be back again, I just won’t bother with the hummus next time!

I ordered the fish sandwich because the photo of it between two fluffy bun halves makes it look big, high, fat, and mouth watering. What I got was two flat, pointed curled ended pieces of who knows what, that tasted like amonia. The one wilted, flimsy, brown edged, hot piece of lettuce slid off the tarter sauce on its own. The few fries in the box alongside the disappointing fish sandwich were dry, cold, and hard to swallow, even heavily dunked in ketchup. Too bad. That is not cod fish. $15.00 poorer, I made a pb&j. Wah, wah, wah.

DO NOT GO HERE for the gyro platter. I was planning on going to Jersey Mike’s and saw the “Southern, Fresh, Greek” and even mention of Carolina’s and was excited. I love gyros, one of my favorite work lunch meals. I saw there wasn’t a gyro combo or anything, should’ve been a red flag. I’ve had really good platters at other Greek places though, so gave it a shot. I was in shock when there was only one cup of tzatziki served with it. I was asked greek or house salad and came with fries. I essentially had to assemble my own gyro with the salad and only one cup of tzatziki. The cashier was very nice and when I asked for 3 more cups, he gave them to me without hesitation. The fries were plain and cheap, I did ask for seasoning and was given a cup of it. The pita was chewy and just all around not good. The meat portion was good but it seems like it was just heaped out with a spoon from a heated tray. Won’t be going back. $15 with no drink to assemble my own gyro with bad pita and sorry fries. The tzatziki flavor wasn’t the worst I’ve had but definitely not good. If you are in Durham and want a gyro, “Gussy’s Place” is far superior in every aspect. Their greek fries are seasoned string fries with feta topping. Gyro meat carved off the spit. Taza grill in Raleigh too. They carve the meat off spit and flip on flat grill right in front of you. $10 = gyro combo with fries or side salad and a drink. This place is all about PR/advertising and no product. I’m surprised there are so many good reviews.

I had never tried Showmars before, but the young man at the counter, Jacob, was extremely nice and enthusiastic to offer recommendations. The fish sandwich was great. Would definitely recommend going to this location.
