Overall, the best place to eat in the area. Been staying nearby for a few months and have eaten at most every restaurant in the area. The Jalapeno burger is great (way better than the Betty burger at Mikado tavern), pretzel bites are good (better than the pretzel we had at Alcona Brew Haus which was over cooked), I would pass on the fish tacos, drinks have been surprisingly well made.

Excellent food. 10 ounce jalapeno burger with cheese and fries was delicious. Chili dog was very good. Homemade onion rings were cooked to perfection and tasted very good. Definitely a place to visit when traveling up the US23 corridor along lake Huron in North Eastern Michigan.

Really, really loud, but I like that they have local live entertainment. Food was decent, nothing I would write home about, but my date didn’t have any food, so this is purely based on 1 dish. It was packed, and they seemed a little understaffed for as busy as it was, had to wait quite a while between table visits by our waitress. First visit here, so don’t know if they were caught off guard or if they have the same labor issues everyone else does. I will go again. Rating based on this one experience.

Great local bar. The Broasted chicken, Cod, Rueben & burgers are outstanding. The service is pretty good and the wait staff is very accommodating and friendly. The interior is what you’d expect from a small town bar that has not updated anything in years.

Nothing fancy here. Just a country bar serving food and drinks. The specialty is broasted chicken which is very good. The best side is the onion rings which are homemade and very good also. Our server was great. Prices are very reasonable.

Excellent bar (and beyond) food..I’ll recommend the patty melt and fries..best fries around..our waitress was fabulous..really on the ball with not just us, but all of the customers..I’ve been to the Shotmakers down in Lincoln Park and it doesn’t hold a candle to this one..has to be the Northern atmosphere.
