Came here to watch Thursday night football to scope out the TV situation for Patriot’s games. Shoppers has tons and tons of TVs which is perfect. The restaurant is big and you don’t feel crammed. I got their caesar wrap and to my surprise it wasn’t creamy caesar it was like italian dressing. Someone had recommended their wings and they must’ve meant their bone-in because the boneless were disappointing. My partner got the honey bbq melt and loved it! They had a great size menu, and we will definitely be back for football Sundays.

Take your money across the street to Franco’s if you want decent service. I went to Shopper’s Cafe Friday 7/28/23 when this old guy was bartending. As soon I sit down the bartender yells at me, “what do you want?” Next, he yells at me to get my name for the tab with a gross attitude. I figured he was in a bad mood. Then this white guy walks next to me to ask for a drink and I hear the most professional response and tone possible say, “yes sir, what would you like?” When I asked for my tab he ignored me. I just left $10 on the table and went to Franco’s accoss the street where Dominic and Erin treat you like a human being no matter what your race is.

The food here was quite interesting. Not especially good or especially bad, but quite different than I expected. Being different is not bad for a food, in fact, it should really be seen as a benefit to be served something fresh and innovative, I just found some of the choices to be interesting ones. For one, I do not think I have ever been to a restuarant that serves boneless chicken unbreaded. The chicken was good, soft, and the sauce was flavoful, but it was so odd not having the crunch of a breaded coating. The nachos also were a basket of chips and a skillet with beef and toppings like a dip. It was much cleaner, and you could portion each chip, but not having the cheese melted on the chips directly was just unusual. I spent most of the meal thinking “huh, I wonder why they did it this way?” Then I left after I finished eating. Decent prices and large portions, I definitely felt very full when I left.

I was greeted by a nice young lady first. I had to use the restroom. Upon my return I was kindly greeted by server Matt and he took my to go order. After checking the Caesar wrap with steaks and he saw how my eyes popped, he offered to get me a plate if I wanted to change my mind and eat … sure enough i did and he brought me the plat with silverware. He had a very warm and welcoming attitude and energy. That’s what I look for from the staff in nice and cozy establishments like the Shopper’s Cafe. Highly recommended when in Waltham.

My friend and I came to Shoppers for the Pats game. Fresh wings. Mozzarella stack was OK. We also had the Taco and Cesar salads. Both were good. Fast and professional bartender. A dedicated spot for Keno play would help with the constant stream of players squeezing up at the bar.
