Food was great! Fun environment. Staff was so kind. We had no idea they were closing in 40 minutes to prep for dinner. They still served us and did a great job with the hibachi. Would definitely recommend hibachi and sushi were both great!

It was a hot day and it was a little warm in the restaurant. The food was normal Hibachi, it was good. The waitress and cook did a good job. Atmosphere was ok, except for the warmth. In defense of Shogun we tried a similar restaurant and they had no AC so we left within a few minutes. Shogun just seemed like the AC was struggling with the heat of the day and cooking inside. It was interesting to note that they don’t have vent-a-hoods at each grill.

Food is great. Service is abysmal. I am a server myself and go out of my way to be courteous to other servers, always tip above 25%. I’ve never been more upset with service in my life. Literally heard my sever talk about me with other servers & laugh as they looked at me, saying something like “she doesn’t know how to…” and laughing again, continuing to look over at me. Extremely lucky I didn’t say anything and still tipped decently, even though she was absent for the remaining half of our meal.

This place is just insanely priced, and I was not impressed with the food to justify it. Make sure to wear shorts and a T-shirt if doing hibachi. It gets extremely hot. They are missing the overhead exhaust systems that normally suck all the heat away from these extremely hot grills so when it’s hot outside their ac just can’t keep up. Despite their best efforts, the circulation of air was terrible and only teased you. Even though 100 degrees outside, it felt cooler than being by those grills. The hibachi chef cooked our food in what felt like 5 mins. It was bland, and I’m pretty sure my chicken was undercooked. This was by far the most expensive and yet worst hibachi experience I’ve had.

Tried this place for lunch. Hibachi chicken lunch was 16.00. Said it was “teriyaki” chicken, but did not taste much teriyaki.

We’ve been coming to Shogun for 10 years. This was a Thursday night. We brought my twins to dinner for their bday last night and it was truly the worst experience ever. First off, the prices are getting out of hand. For the food portions, they give about 1/2 rice they used to. There’s a $3 up-charge for frying the rice, there’s a $3 charge for noodles if you choose to have instead of rice – when you’re paying $38 for ONE person why am I being up charged for something that should be coming with our meal? One lady that was at our table even commented about how little rice he was putting on plates. Our chef didn’t say two words to the table last night aside from asking how people wanted their steak. Zero interaction with anyone! Not even to ask if anyone wanted sauce. My son asked for yum yum sauce 2X and got none. While all the other tables were having a blast with their chef, getting the table to participate, cheering, trying to throw food to people, there weren’t words spoken to anyone at our table! I hadn’t eaten 3 bites of my food and they were already coming over with the to-go boxes and checks trying to rush us out of there. They stood there like hawks waiting for us to put our credit cards in the folder so they could come charge our cards and even at one point, the lady next to me said “she’s come over here to take check 2X already, maybe give me a min”. She was annoyed too. There are lots of reviews with this same experience. You’d think they do something about it. It’s incredibly RUDE! I went up to speak to the manager and was told there was no manager there. I explained to the lady my disappointment and she just shrugged me off and said “there’s no manager here”. Moments later, our waitress came to the table and very rudely and loudly said “is there and issue with your bill”?! I walked with her over to the register (as she rolled her eyes) and explained all over again what I had just told the other woman. She was incredibly rude, unapologetic and didn’t care. When you take your children on their birthday to hibachi and pay $200 before adding a tip for 4 people, this kind of service is not acceptable.

Prices were seriously outrageous for portion size and how quickly they drop off to-go boxes after the hibachi is finished. I’d like to think when we are spending close to $200 before tip for 3 adults and 1 child they wouldn’t rush us out. Also, not friendly service. We did however like the guy who did the hibachi. He was friendly.
