I love coming here but the last two times I’ve went the guy hasn’t really put on a show. We have listened while the tables behind us are laughing and getting food thrown in their mouths and cheering and things while we aren’t getting that experience which is why we come. I wish y’all would make it a requirement to put on a good show to work here. But the food is always great.

We were celebrating my grandson’s honor roll achievement by taking him to Shogun. He was in absolute awe of the table side cooking and the chef had everyone smiling and in good spirits.

Service here is absolutely slow as molasses… the hibachi chef barely interacted with anyone at the grill. The food is not near as good as the Shogun in Bentonville, AR. I’m definitely disappointed in both food and service!! I most likely won’t be back.

My experience at Shogun Steakhouse of Japan was a mixed bag. The food was undeniably great, with flavorful dishes and skilled chefs providing an entertaining dining experience. However, I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the establishment. The tables and floors could have been better maintained. Additionally, the overall ambiance felt outdated, and the decor could use some modernization. While the food was a highlight, the lack of cleanliness and outdated atmosphere took away from the overall experience. It’s a decent place for delicious food, but improvements in cleanliness and updating the establishment would greatly enhance the dining experience.

Our birthday party of 8 arrived at 6:44 for a 7pm reservation. We were seated promptly. Our server was “new” ~ not sure if she meant new to the job or new to the restaurant. She was visibly overwhelmed, taking care of at least two 8-top hibachi stations on opposite sides of the restaurant. Our drinks were slow to arrive and incomplete. Our food orders were taken, soup & salad delivered and then we waited, and waited, for our chef. It was worth the wait – the food was excellently prepared and delicious! His show was typical – if you’ve seen one…. Drink refills were slow to non-existent. Two of the four tickets were incorrect, with part of one ticket being put on another. Corrections were made & leftovers packed in fancy foil-creature shapes. I think they are short-staffed, and the server was admittedly “new”. Overall, a good experience with great food. A nice tip was left and we WILL return.

I rarely post negative reviews but the experience we had was sub par.

We got there close to closing time, and they went ahead and got us seated. The kids had a great time watching the chef, and the food was excellent. We will definitely be back.

Let me clear on this review. It wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t amazing either. The chef was awesome and also accommodated an extra person we had show up. The food was okay but the show was top notch. Now I can’t say for certain because it was in the females restroom. Supposedly they’re 2 roaches crawling on the wall. That’s why I give 3 stars. Definitely not Osaka!
